Pendulum Clock Mechanism Replacement Kit Replacement Long Shaft Quartz Clock Hands Movement Mechanism for DIY

I have a beautiful vintage looking clock that I got at a thrift shop and the hands started to nothang on so the minute hand always fell to the bottom position. I thought I woudl have to get rid of my favorite clock but this kit has made it better than new. It even has a second hand now that it didn't before. It shipped quickly, keeps accurate time and I love it!

The media could not be loaded. I ordered a Youngtown mechanism that had the same model number as I was trying to replace. I kept time, but was unable to move the pendulum that I so dearly loved. I eventually returned that on to Amazon and kept looking. Found this one and it worked perfectly. It doesn't tik/tok if that is what you are after (I wasn't). but the pendulum moves and keeps time perfectly! Yay, it has been in non working order for years. I bought in Spain and glad to have the memory of my purchase there working again! Look for a long shaft pendulum mechanism if need be to work!

I replaced the guts of a clock I really liked, unfortunately the holes of the hands were a different size from the original. My clock face was black so I had to use nail polish to make the hands show up and trim them to fit, this was easily done with strong scissors. My clock is functional again!

This is the second movement I bought for this particular clock. The first one didn't fit because of oversight on my part. The minute hand needs to have an oblong hole, not round. But I had a devil of a time fitting the minute hand on nonetheless. The hour hand was no problem, but the minute hand had a "sweet spot" in order to work properly. Too loose and it would spin; too tight and it wouldn't turn. It took a long time, maybe not 1/2 hr but certainly more than 10 min, of fooling with it to make it work.This is not the first time the quartz movement was replaced on this clock but the last time was long ago. Don't remember having the problem back then.

Item came quickly and packed safely. Open the blister package, followed direction, insert battery nothing? Changed battery, nothing? Third try with new battery, still nothing? Feeling ripped off!

The main issue was this difference between the main description and the detailed measurement diagram on one of the photos. It turned out to be a 20mm shaft. However I was able to make this fit into my existing clock face by omitting the spacing washers.The clock minute hand is "keyed" to the shaft , so I was unable to just swap my existing clock hands. However the supplied hands are thin aluminium were easy to trim to the correct size.The mechanism the unit works fine and is still running well after 2 weeks.
