Legally Blonde / Legally Blonde 2 - Red, White and Blonde

Reese has done so many things, but Playing Elle woods was masterful. The upbeat looks, the great expressions, the great Timing. Wonderful writing, great delivery and masterful performance. The cast in both movies are nothing short of brilliant. Reese Witherspoon is America's sweetheart and these movies will show you why and will show you how great an actress she truly is. An American Icon not only in Reese but in Elle Woods as well. Whenever I feel down I pop in the dvd or watch the instant video of Elle woods and Legally Blond and Reese always cheers me up. A must see pair of Movies for everyone. Fun Family movie as well.

Always funny to watch. No matter how many times I watch.

I didn't think this movie would be my thing, but someone told me years ago that it was funny. I was surprised that it was not the typical "young adult" movie. Some parts might not be appropriate for young views (mostly just some of the language), but all-in-all, both movies are very wholesome and I thought pretty clever in their plots. The actress does a great job and I wish she had done more of these. They were not your typical "romantic" comedies: very little romance involved. They are good movies when you want to watch something light-hearted and not depressing.

Reese Whitherspoon. You either like her or don't. Both are very cute movies and typical of the "Goldie Hawn/Kate Hudson" type of film. These are star vehicles and enjoyable as long as you don't take them too seriously. What I didn't like was the cheap re-packaging by Fox into a 2-disc set. The new style box with more holes than plastic in it. For that reason (or sloppy handling) disc #2 had some odd surface or handling scratches. Shrink-wrap doesn't always mean factory fresh. Content: Disc #1 (Legaly Blonde) was a bare-bones copy with no features, unless you consider wide/full option a feature. Not even a music video on this one. The original DVD release had this plus outtakes and trailer. Disc #2 (L.B. #2) A full-featured disc with the typical out-takes, music video, and trailers. Due to the funny hash-marks/scratches on the 2nd disc, I would have returned it if it was bought locally. The disc didn't look brand new but it played o.k. Amazon warehoused-merchandise is usually received in better shape than this.

The 'Legally Blonde' movies are fun, lively, vibrant, and empowering without being overbearing. I would discuss plot points as that has been done to death but I will say that this set is well worth getting if one simply wishes to have both films to enjoy whenever they wish.

This movie is a MUST SEE. It's got some gumption in the midst of all the pink fluff and mistaken air-headed-ness.....She ain't "air headed" at ALL. I didn't realize I would love this movie so much, until I found myself cheering for the main character, who somehow weathered the storms and pre-conceived notions people had about her, stood her ground, and by golly, found that she was actually being "heard" and possibly, just possibly taken seriously.
