Question 1

Will this work with an induction cooktop? If not, who makes one similar in size and price. Maybe I'll have to get a manufacturer to make them for me.

Even though a magnet won't stick to this, you can buy an induction adapter plate which gets used kinda like a coaster for the pot.  Instead of the pot getting hot by itself, the adapter gets hot and transfers that heat to the cooker.   do a search here for induction adapter.

Question 2

We have a smooth cooktop and can only use certain pots and pans and am wondering if this is okay to use?  My old pressure cooker says not to use it on smooth cooktops so need to find another one that will work.

I use mine on my glass cook top. My burners get hot enough. (I use the double size burner which is a perfect fit so it gets plenty of heat all around the bottom-- don't know how much that helps). I am just very careful about moving it as I am with all of my pans. Pick it up slightly and move it, don't slide it across your cook top (bad for your stove and the canner).

Does this product have a gasket?

Yes, there is a gasket around the inside of the lid. There is also a small O-ring on the release valve. The product is well made.

Question 4

I just bought this and when it arrived I realized it does not have a pressure gauge? How are you supposed to know what pressure you are at?

The ad copy says it is a weighted canner. Read your canning book/recipe and it will tell you the weight and how long to pressure can your recipe. For example, and this is an example, the recipe might say:

Pressure cook peaches at 15 lbs. for 25 minutes at 3,000 feet elevation
