Nice Compact TV
I was looking for a nice small and basic TV without too many frills. This one seems very useful with a good picture and the sound quality seems to be better than another Sharp we had a few years ago. I haven't tried any of the options such as internet connection other than just plugging it into our pre-exiting aerial and all that was straightforward and easy to follow. Box to watching TV took about 15 minutes including assembling the stand/feet for table top viewing ..mounting on the wall would obviously take longer. Very happy with it.

Good value for money.
I bought the tv for my camper van, to watch mainly U Tube, Netflix and watch my security camera's mounted on the exterior of my camper. It was a little fiddly to start with, using the numbers on the remote control to complete loading the passwords ( which included upper and lower case letters ) for the WIFI both in our house and tetheringmy mobile phone. Once completed U tube came up straight away, it has its own button on the remote, 12v worked no problem, The sound could be stronger. I did buy a Ferguson but could not get it to work properly, this Sharp is a superior tv. I have not tried the DVD player yet. Oh yes if you want to watch Freeview this worked with the tiny aerial provided in the package in my camper on 12v.

I think we are getting there
Purchased for our narrowboat, disappointed when the TV would only work on 230v, i.e. using the inverter. Eventually used a lead from the old TV that has a voltage regulator built in, now works perfectly on 12 volt.Cannot find how to stop various "messages" coming on to the screen showing what the features are, they disappear when we press "exit" but come back again a few minutes later. Need to find a setting somewhere to sort this.Similarly the colour setting is too low, adjusting it to something acceptable is easy but the setting is not saved, it reverts back to the original. Once again we hope to find out how to cure this.In summary this is a good TV, the picture angle, sound and picture quality are all better than the one it has replaced.

Surprisingly good 12V TV.
I was very sceptical when I purchased this TV, especially after returning the latest Avtex due poor sound quality. And so far I am pleasantly surprised with it, the sound quality is far superior and has a really good range without having to keep adjusting the volume. The 12V side of things worked fine, yes it draws a bit more power than the Avtex but ran on 12V over 48 hours without issue (110AH battery and 100w solar panel). Connected to both a Mifi box and Android phone without issue for the smart side of things. It does have a single tuner, unlike the latest Avtex which has two (watch one channel whilst recording another) but for me this isn't an issue and with having catch up even less.

Very happy - ideal for our motorhome
Unboxed and plugged in, in our motorhome on the drive outside the house. We have a very poor TV signal at home and the van is parked the other side of the house to the direction of the TV transmitter. I didn't use the magnetic Arial that is supplied with the smart TV on first power up. I used one that was purchased last year. On first time tune, the unit found all of the channels that our main house TV has. But on trying the magnet aerial that comes in the kit, the signal was very poor and all the channels were completely unusable. Found the supplied aerial only worked in a really strong signal area. So I would recommend that you use a better quality aerial than the one in the kit.Sound and picture are very good for what is technically a portable TV.TV guild worked fine and easy to use.The unit connected to our WiFi very easy and the smart functions worked really well.DVD runs very smoothly and fast to respond.Tried using both the mains adaptor and the 12v power lead. Both worked perfectly.Haven't tried the unit with a dish, so can't comment on the freesat part of the unit.Overall very pleased with the purchase.

Superb quality for a bargain price
What can I say the picture quality is second to none, the sound is of high quality too, its perfect for our motorhome with the selection of voltages, I have not had to use the free ariel as I have my own dish & ariel I would recommend to all superb quality at a fraction of the price of the so called better products

Absolutely useless is planning on using via hotspot
Waste of time and money.Never got past 3/6 on set up, iPhone would not connect (tried 3 different phones) kept coming up with password error (password perfectly fine). Called Sharp to investigate and was treated like an 18 month old asking questions like “is the phone near the tv?” “Is the hotspot on?” “Have you typed in correct password?” “Can you not use your neighbours WiFi” (this is to be used in a caravan - shall I ask neighbour to come with me?!) Enquired with them why tv would work on home WiFi but not on phone and he kept saying “it’s not strong enough” which is incorrect as other devices can tether easily. Personally I think Sharp are fully aware there is a fault with this tv as a return and refund was offered rather than a replacement.Very disappointed as this tv had the possibility to fit our needs perfectly.

Very impressed
We liked the quality of the product. It's crystal clear picture, Netflix facility, record etc. It's perfect for the caravan. Fits lovely. We were very impressed with the quality for a very reasonable price. We currently have an avtex and the quality is very much the same.Would definitely recommend it. Very happy.
