Subversion, Inc.: How Obama's ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers Review: More than Just ACORN Here! - I don't know Matt Vadum personally but was pleasantly surprised by how superb this book was. I purchased it thinking it was about the left in general--after all it's about subversion!--but was somewhat disappointed to see it addressed ACORN alone. Well, I'm a little ACORNed out at this point, but Vadum dissects the left on aggregate throughout. Overall, his discussion is very educational and thorough. It's a combination of great analysis and great reporting. I make videos on youtube and I wanted to educate concerning Saul Alinsky along with the Cloward-Piven Strategy so I will be making use today of the material Vadum offers in chapters 4 and 5 as a text from which to instruct. This author summarizes Rules for Radicals and the "Weight of the Poor" approach to overwhelming the government with welfare payments better than just about anything I've read before. It's a succinct and persuasive account. I often come up with lists of things that I wish to cleave off of the federocracy, and that list is lengthy, but the 80 million in Housing and Urban Development grants that ACORN has fleeced off of the federal government suggests that HUD should be at the top of any budget cuts in the future. Great stuff, great read! Review: Required Reading For Those Interested In The History Of Major Statist Developments - Excellent review of the operations of a most malignant organization. Explains much in terms of how Alinsky and his ilk suffused their poison through the culture (as planned by the Frankfurt school and Antonio Gramsci), Less analysis of the the feckless reactions to the tactics of ACORN but good coverage of the story of the organization's downfall via the actions of undercover reporters and released videos. Excellent discussion of the role played by ACORN in the subprime meltdown as enabled by the Community Redevelopment Act (CRA) (see also John Allison's "The Financial Crisis And The Free Market Cure" for more details on the the influence of the CRA and the role of Fannie/Freddie Mac). If you ever wondered "Where the hell is this coming from?!"...Here it is!

Thoroughly Researched
Vadum has written a thoroughly researched and sourced book that lays bare all the inner workings of ACORN and all the other socialist community organizing groups. He details ACORN's beginnings and how they evolved from the 1960s and how their philosophy fits the formula of Cloward, Piven, and Alinsky. Vadum also does a masterful job in tying ACORN's evolution into a political machine and the culmination of that strategy in the rise of Barack Obama to power. Not content to stop there, Vadum details all the various splinter groups that ACORN activists ended up in around the country following the ACORN scandal and subsequent bankruptcy. This book is well researched and detailed, but it's not something you have to slog through. Vadum makes it interesting and entertaining.

A well done expose of America's new enemies list
Well documented, well written. The book contains today's enemies list, a who's who, of those who are hell-bent on destroying the US, and the US captitalist system. People who earn a living shouldn't be able to keep their earnings, commies should be able to confiscate it and buy votes with it! Social Justice is stealing from those who earn it and handing it out to those who did not. Hey folks, come on. Communism and socialism are euphonisms for piracy. Period. Buy this book and learn what's going on around you. Your lives and your future are being stolen from you.

Acorn: The Definitive Account
A mind-blowing expose of what amounts to America's premier electoral-crime syndicate, "Subversion, Inc." is the most thorough and devastating account of the rise and fall of ACORN from an author who had a big hand in helping them fall. Not just ACORN, but the "community organizing" community in general (which, by the way, gave us Barack Obama), with its toxic combination of Marxist ideology and mob-style operations, is laid bare in all its manifold facets. "Subversion, Inc." also functions as a great all-around primer on the history of left-wing agitation in the United States, from the infamous Cloward-Piven strategy to Saul Alinsky to the election battle-fields of 2008. Must read.

Packed with eye-opening information
I really enjoyed getting in-depth knowledge about Acorn. I thought I previously knew quite a lot about the organization but Vadum exposed the detailed workings and genesis of this group. I was also pleasantly surprised to find such detail about Saul Alinsky as well as Cloward and Piven. I didn't realize the real attempts to subvert our government started 60+ years ago. It is truly frightening to realize that so many of our elected officials are entrenched in the teachings of all of these people. One final note: why the hell didn't the mainstream media do their due diligence before the 2008 election and report on the connections between Obama and Acorn? You probably already know the answer to that.

ACORN Remains a Threat to the United States
ACORN has not disappeared. The national organization's formal dissolution via bankruptcy has simply compelled it to be split into smaller local groups with differing names. It is also still committed to pushing socialism down the throats of unwilling Americans. The writings of Saul Alinsky guide the organization's operational policies. Outright lying and criminal activity are second nature to ACORN's leadership. Matthew Vadum provides countless well documented examples of such deceitful behavior. "ACORN is a nonprofit version of Enron, the infamous failed energy company that imploded under the pressure of hopelessly confusing, misleading, and illegal accounting practices," adds the author. Barack Obama has a close relationship with these ideological thugs. We can take it for granted the president will continue helping them behind the scenes. ACORN has fraudulently helped Democrats win a number of elections. It is existentially hostile towards Republicans and constitutional government. ACORN advocates soft totalitarianism. Vadum's book must be read by everybody who lives in an area directly threatened by ACORN. Your vote is in serious jeopardy. The same holds true for your local economy. Pay attention immediately---or you may live to regret it.

A Must Read!
This book is very well written, and very informative. If you can get through the wordiness, you will come to understand what is presently happening in the USA, and how this all came about. Scary that things have come to this point. This book helps to make sense of who is who, and how they got to where they are, and where they/we are headed.
