These look to be fair quality, but 10 ga wire is not enough to support a 50 amp circuit. What will happen every time is that the connector holding the fuse will heat up, reduce its holding-power/connection to the fuse itself, and the whole thing will will melt down. Not because of the wire, or the fuse, but the connection between them. Pretty much need to solder the wire to the fuse blades. On this item, the fuse is very tight and secure, but ought to be 30amp max.

I bought the product a few years ago but never got around to using it until this past year. Product is not safe to support 50 amps. I used it in my car to power a single radiator fan and the fuse holder melted down after about 6 months of use. Not only did it melt down but it melted down catastrophically and nearly caused a fire. The 50 amp fuse never blew, instead the holder and fuse melted around it instead.

I put the wire into #10AWG butt splices and spliced with other #10 wire with no problem. Put wire into a #8AWG lug and it was very loose. Obviously not #8 wire. Regardless, I only needed for disconnection means for a solar installation, so the included 50 amp fuses are sufficient to ensure they will not inadvertently open during use, and are also big enough physically to easily pull out and provide a disconnecting means for the PV array. Wire insulation is clearly silicone, very squishy when trying to cut with razor blade or wire cutters. Happy with purchase. Caps for fuses are definitely not water proof, but will work well enough for my application as they will only get spray and not risk submersion.
