What is the actual size? I've read three different dimensions! Thank you :)

Hi Krista,Thank you for your interest in our Fleur De Lis Cast Iron Toilet Paper Towel Holder. The dimensions are 6.25 x 4.25 x 6.75. Please accept our sincere apologies for the confusion that this inconsistency has caused. Looking forward to serving you!Regards,Customer Support

Is there a matching towel bar?

Don’t really know. I used mine me for a towel bar at the sink.

Does anyone know where to get a wooden or other replacement for the tacky plastic rod that has replaced the metal rod?

You can use a piece of all thread

Can these items be painted successfully?

Yes. I purchased the white toilet paper holder, which is a paint over the cast iron. You may want to consider purchasing the white and painting over it so you don't have to worry about priming it first.
