Genuine Product
Have only used these vs imitation ones. No issues with these. Lasts easily 6-9 months. What a big difference in the color and taste. We have city water with lots of magnese which is visibly light brown at times. And no more chlorine taste! Also have it attached to kitchen icemaker. Worth every penny!

I love my water now!
Sept 26, 2024This is my 2nd edit of my original review. I must be fair to Aquasana and report that it was OUR ERROR that water stopped flowing from my Aquasana unit. Though we managed to replace the cartridges, we FAILED to line them up perfectly with those little plugs (because the tops spin around). THAT'S why water wasn't flowing! We finally took the unit off the bracket and looked at it upside-down and went, "OHHHH!" NOW we can see what we're supposed to do. So now everything is working great again and I'm once again drinking fresh, delicious water. It makes me wonder now if my niece had dumped her Aquasana (previous post) in haste because she believed it no longer worked, but perhaps she hadn't properly seated the cartridges. We'll never know now.I'm giving my Aquasana 5 stars again!****************************I first wrote my original review on August 15, 2024, after being in love with my Aquasana unit for 3 years.NOW, TODAY – no water will come out!!My niece – the one mentioned in my original review – came over to change cartridges that I had just purchased, and she did some troubleshooting. She can't figure it out. By the way, she also just recently dumped her Aquasana unit because HERS stopped working! What's with these things? Is 3 years all you get out of them? I'm terribly disappointed but really I'm just downright angry! Now I DO know why they're only coming in at 3.8 stars.****************************August 15, 2024I've had my Aquasana unit working for me now for 3 years. I've replaced the cartridges just once so far.I don't know why reviews come in at only 3.8 for this thing. I love mine and give it 5 stars! I would never drink tap water and man I hated buying water. $$$!My niece lives around the corner from me and every couple of weeks she would fill gallon jugs for me using HER Aquasana. I finally bought my own unit and I'm so glad I did. This purified water keeps my Keurig from malfunctioning as I only put Aquasana water in it. My first Keurig took a dump in less than a year because I used tap water in it. So I got a new one and put only Crystal Geyser water in it until my niece started refilling my jugs. I've had this Keurig now for 8 years (same exact model as the first one but I removed that little filter thing) and it's still working great cuz I've never used tap water in it. Heavy metals and deposits are probably why Keurigs are always breaking down.Anyhoo, I drink a lot more water now and it's great having good tasting water at my fingertips anytime I want. No more buying water and having plastic bottles and jugs everywhere! Doesn't matter how much replacement cartridges are because it's still cheaper than constantly buying water. Anyone sitting on the fence about this should reconsider because this makes very good drinking water!

Great clean water solution
My family drinks gallons of water. Our water is hard and (I believe...) clean (suburb of Philadelphia) but you never know. I'm not a fan of bottled water. Bad for the environment plus lots of lugging cases in and out of the house. This Aquasana set-up has worked great for us. We have a separate filtered water faucet and the filters mount under the sink. Changing the filters is easy, the hard part is mounting and unmounting the unit to gain access to the filters. Based on our usage, I suspect that changing them every 9 months would be about right. I went with an every 6 month subscription to be on the safe side. The filters are pretty black after that period of time. The water tastes great. We have had the system for a few years without issue.

Good filter for the price
This is very well made and very simple to install for under the sink-filtered water system. To save you the trouble go buy some extra hose for the filter usage because what ever they give you it will not be enough. Go to the hardware store and get ¼” and 3/8” water line hose, you will need it.Once I installed it, I let the water run for about 10 minutes to wash out the system and gave the filtered water a taste test. I got to say it wasn’t the best tasting filtered water to my test. I use to have Dupure reverse osmosis water filter system and it really tasted crisp and clean. I just didn’t like the price of my filters I had to pay every year when it was time to replace them and service call, let not even go there. Basically I had a Ferrari and I didn’t want to pay for maintenance anymore.I had to get filters from Dupure and Dupure only, no body; I mean no body sold them except Dupure. Every year I would dish out $189 for filters. I got tired of it and replace the whole system with Aquasana 5300.So here I am doing a review and will give it 4 stars for one being affordable and two the filter replacement for all three will run about $50. Taste not so great but better than tap water for sure.Pros: Very good price, very simple to install, very simple system, well made, replacement filters are cheap, and their main office for customer service is in Austin, Texas.Cons: Taste quality not so high, filter too small (should of made them longer), pours out from faucet really slow, hose connect from supplier too short.Ps Always use a Teflon tape around metal-to-metal connections, it will save you a lot of headaches later. Trust me on this one.

BEWARE bad hardware - danger of flooding!
I made this a one star review mostly because of the horrible tee provided with the product to split the incoming water line between the faucet and the filter. As at least one other reviewer mentioned, the hardware is total junk. I installed it following the instructions and less than 48 hours, at 2 am I was awakened by the sound of waterworks under my kitchen cabinet. The compression fitting on the tee failed and the entire 3/8 plastic water tube that supplies the filter simply fell out causing water to gush out in full force. Luckily for me I have solid wood cabinetry and a stone floor, so water damage was minimal. If I had particle board cabinets and a wood floor then things would've been quite different.Back to the issue at hand though -- throw away the tee provided by Aquasana and replace it with something like this item sold on Amazon: TOTOMO 3/8"OD Push Fit Angle Stop Adapter Valve. It may be $20 instead of the $2 junk bundled by Aquasana but it'll save your kitchen. The filter itself is fine, and one of the few that is NSF certified to remove a whole bunch of contaminants. It's shameful that Aquasana can't bundle proper hardware to go along with it.As a side note, I did not use the faucet included with the filter. I used my own faucet made by Moen. The one included by Aquasana is smaller, weighs about 1/10th as much and looks really flimsy. Other reviews mentioned it leaking and cracking and I'm not surprised. I wish I could've bought this filter without the faucet to save a few bucks but that is not an option as of this writing. To summarize, the filter itself works fine but I'll have to see how well the O rings will survive in the long term as O ring failure within a few years is another common complaint.

Much butter than our RO System
We just love this filter system. We purchased it to replace a failed reverse osmosis tank that we had for years. At the recommendation of our plumber we chose to go with a filter, this one has three stages, over the RO since it's cost effective and saves water (no waste!) first, Much like the others mention, the water tasted slightly sweet at first. Over time that went away and now I wonder why I ever had a reverse osmosis tank at all. What a waste of money! We love the water taste and that we never, ever run out of water - we fill dozens of water bottles and tanks for use outside or on the road and we never have to wait for the "tank" to fill so we can then use the water. It just flows and flows and we fill and fill! Love it! I like the extra space under the counter, too. It does fill slightly slower, but it isn't such a difference that we care. Further, with all the issues and cost of maintaining the RO, this is a minute concern on our end. I recommend you purchase this filter. I was not paid for this stellar review, either, I didn't receive anything for free. I sincerely mean this. You can message me with questions. It installed in minutes. Super easy!

Good quality, water filter filters on subscription
I love this under the counter filtered water system, and having these aquas replacement filters on subscription so I don’t even have to think about when I need them again is really convenient. I have them coming every six months and I don’t have to think about my water quality.

Why did I take so long!
At first it made a mess when I pressurized the lines. It appears the cannisters itself were leaking so I opened them to see filters and closed again using wrench provided. Once I reconnected and pressurized again, no leaks and all is working great.I do trip out for a moment as the water appeared to be running warm to hot when started. Obviously I thought to have connected to my hot water line by accident. After testing I was on the right valve and then eventually the water cooled down. Not sure why this happened but again it corrected itself and working great. Excellent taste as I compared to the regular tap water for the heck of it!

Good product
A bit pricey but good quality. Easy to install.

Great water filter system but a pain to install in Singapore
Got this to replace the Pur on tap filter and it works great. Now I can use any kitchen faucet and still have filtered water.Beware for overseas users though, the fittings are for US plumbing and I had to make multiple runs to the hardware store to get this installed properly.Update - May 2023: The Claryum A canister (red) was leaking quite badly… Aquasana Support was prompt to send a replacement but that was leaking also, albeit slower… Support then suggested to swap the cap with another canister and it worked! So far…So gonna knock down a star. Those who have leaking canisters can try to swap the caps and see if it works.

Great tasting water!
We are 2 80 year olds. Easy to install under the counter. Does not take up a lot of room. The water is Clear and tastes really good basically there is NO taste at all. We recommend this system.
User
No surprise, easy to change
Ease of use, but not sure the filters work well. Water quality is almost the same when measured by device before and after the filters....

Woking fine for the last few weeks. Very happy with it. One minor thing that should have been corrected before packaging.
No issues with the installation; very easy and the instructions easy to follow. Wife is happy with the flow and the taste of water (That is all that matters). The only thing I found is that the ends of the lines were not cut square; the cut was in an angle and bit wiggly. If they are not square they can leak in quick connect fittings (Working as a handy man in the past taught me that the hard way). I easily corrected that with my utility knife, but something so simple should be corrected from the assembly line before packaging.
