Easy to use although a little fiddly, but once you get the hang of it, it's perfect. Would be nice to have a storage case but I use a plastic container. Different options if piping disks are very versatile. Would recommend and great for price!

this product literally saved my life, however the rubber ring on the plunger doesn't last, it will still work without it abit slightly messier.

It extrudes polymer clay just fine. The shape disks could be a bit thicker as they bend when extruding a clay that is harder. Not sure if that affects the end result as I have no comparison.

Brill for fondant easy to I use

I was so excited about using this for polymer clay. First use was good. By the end of the second go I had noticed the rubber washer had broken inside, the clay was all inside which is a pain as it's hard to clean after every use. I can't seem to buy replacement washers.

I needed to extrude fondant icing in lots of different colours. This extruder made my icing decorations a doddle. So pleased I bought it. It enabled me to make lots of different borders and other decorations.

Like other reviews, this extruder is awful quality. It worked to begin with then quickly became really tough to wind and push clay through. It was causing my hands to go red raw due to the amount of force needed to make the mechanism move. My clay was coming out dry looking and bad quality because it wasn't flowing properly through the extruder. A part of the mechanism became so stuck my engineer dad had to take it to his work to dislodge with his tools because it was so jammed. I can't make this work and have to return which is great when you have a shop to run!If you are investing in a tool like this, make sure to spend a bit more because this is awful quality.

I bought this to use with air dry clay, the lightweight kind (Hearty) and it worked pretty well, I was even pleasantly surprised how easy it was to clean afterwards. I've used (and mislaid, hence the reason I bought this cheaper version) the Makins professional clay extruder which looks almost exactly the same and although I haven't tried this cheaper clay gun with polymer clay yet I have to say it performs pretty much the same as it's much more expensive counterpart. I don't know if the changeable discs are compatible with the Makins brand but they look the same. This is definitely worth buying.
