Milenco 2691 Calibrated Nose Weight Gauge Caravan Trailer

NOTE: Maximum rated weight is 287 pounds (not 237 as stated in another review here). This is for lightweight trailers only! I really wish this and its larger counterpart were more readily available in the US, because it is far more convenient to use than the bathroom scale method, and is equally accurate. The only nuisance is having to convert from kilograms to pounds, which is no big deal. It’s well built, easy to read, and very portable. Shipping from the UK took about two weeks. Well worth the money and the wait as far as I’m concerned. Does seem to go in and out of stock, so if it’s showing as unavailable, give it a few days and try again.

I am building a small camper trailer to be pulled by my Subaru. It's terrific to not have to guess at tongue weight. I was using my bathroom scale but this is so much nicer.

Really happy I found this simple solution to checking tongue weight on a small trailer. Not much effort, I put the tool under the ball receiver and lowered the front jack until the scale was supporting the trailer. The 4 stars is because I wish there was a 500 pound version, 300LB is OK for a light trailer like mine but is limiting. Recommend if your tongue weight is light enough.

did notice anything in the description the scale only goes to 237lbs !!!! it ships from the UK also $20 was added to the price for shipment cost so is of $35 it was $60 keep in mind to return this to the UK it cost a min of $70 -$100 since i have no use for it, i wll try to use it as a baseball bat... unless anyone from the US is interest , will offer it for $50. still new in the box

Didn't really understand tongue weight results, this is basically worthless without knowing what your trailer weighs on official scales for you to figure out the 10% to 15% of trailer weight tongue weight, only accurate method is to officially weigh car and trailer together then a weight separation and then that gives you accurate tongue weight percentage, knowing just a tongue weight alone with this device serves no purpose

For convenience this is ideal for measuring the nose weight of your caravan ,its made out of metal with well defined easy to see weight markings on the side. easy to use, its fairly light and doesn't take up much room so easy to take with you and store in a cupboard to locker. Remember that its recommended to measure the nose weight of your caravan at the same hight as your tow ball. As it happens once the jockey wheel is up the hitch rests at the same height as my tow ball anyway so I didn't need to add anything under the nose weight gauge to achieve the correct height,

Pour pouvoir mieux équilibrer notre caravane, permet de connaître le poids en flèche, du moins à titre indicatif car ce n'est pas précis au kg près mais cela donne une bonne indication pour éviter les erreurs de chargement. Je recommande.
