I've had my Mantis tiller for over twenty years. It has always been a PITA to start and to use because, when left alone, it falls right over. I was always looking for a fence or a tree to lean the darn thing up against. A few days ago I stumbled across this "kickstand". Seemed like a good idea, so I bought one. Pretty easy to install. Kinda tight quarters and you will need a 3/8 inch box end wrench, but it didn't take long. Man, this kickstand is what my Mantis needed all along. Now it is easier to start and easier to use, since with the kickstand, the Mantis has finally learned to stand alone. No more need for a fence or a tree to lean against.

Great for storing your tiller, or propping it up for a minute if you need to go grab a sweet tea. However, mine came assembled backwards (the lip was facing towards the tiller instead of away, like in the picture). It was fairly difficult to switch it around the right way. I guess it could have been a fluke. When assembled correctly, the kickstand is a great attachment!

My only regret is that I was not smart enough to purchase this 10 years ago when I bought my Mantis. This simple little addition has made a huge difference in the use of my tiller. Easy to install, easy to use, and it works perfectly!!

This should have been on all of these tillers from the factory. It is not an accessory but a necessity. It is simple to install and works great. I have used the tiller without one for years and laying it down in the dirt always seemed wrong. Some times I could get it to stand but it inevitably would fall over...really annoying. These are great little tillers and this stand just completes it.

Good addition; should be standard. I thought it would be wobbly but my little tiller hasn't fallen over yet. Not too hard to install, but there's not a lot of room on the engine side. I looked at the pictures more than the instructions to get this installed. The widest part is as wide as the tiller so it doesn't take up any more room in your shed, or on the wall or wherever.
