Yes, glass jars - but, oh so terrific!!!

Can this Bearnaise sauce be saved and reheated? For how long will it keep in the refrigerator, once it has been opened?

Kept closed it doesn't need refrigeration but Bearnaise is an egg/butter/vinegar based emulsion sauce. So make sure to keep it refrigerated once opened. Since it is an emulsion, reheating is tricky, don't overheat it or it will separate. You can eat it cold like mayonnaise, but store it cold. The vinegar will likely keep it ok for a while.

Can I reheat it before serving ?

Since it has to be refrigerated after it's opened, I would put what I need in a cup and warm it on I believe level 6 for about 15-20 seconds. Better yet, put the cup in hot water. This bearnaise is hard even when not in the fridge so it should be warmed up. It's very vinegary. Not that good. I'm currently have jars that I got from Belgium, no comparison. Unfortunately, you can't find a good bearnaise in a jar in the US. (of course, no jar bearnaise comes close to the ones made from scratch)

What is the what is the expirationn date?

I do not think I ever bought the sauce in a jar. I prefer the packet mix that you add butter and milk of cream to. I have raves about that with fish and other dishes and the mix it easy to store.
