All four of my babies agree- go with the FP swing instead.
I had two sets of twins use this swing and I have to say I was disappointed. The swing works great and is high-quality, but all four or my babies GREATLY preferred our traditional (Fisher Price Snugapuppy) swing. This one did little to soothe. The motions don't get bigger or smaller, just faster or slower. and my biggest beef with it is how SHALLOW THE SEAT IS. All my babies, even my 4 lb preemie!, had to be buckled in or he would slide right down and almost out, and that's on the flatest setting!! (You can adjust the angle of the seat, but it the range doesn't work for me. Obviously we buckled the babies in the FP once they got bigger, but it sure is nice to be able to set a newborn down in a sing without snapping her in). The technology seems awesome, but when it came down to it, we could have saved $100 and bought two FP swings.

Wished that the mobile spun, or had a mirror in the middle...
I wanted the mamaroo sooooo badly, because it was the “IT” item for babies when I was expecting my first!! All in all it served its purpose, and I do believe that every baby is different when it comes to what they like, but I don’t think it’s worth all the hype. Personally, I wished that the mobile spun, or had a mirror in the middle. It was okay for when he was a few weeks old, but without a spinning mobile or mirror, or anything to keep him distracted, he got board and wouldn’t stay in it long. I would not purchase this item again.

Good product except the toy attachment
Bought this for my first born, and proved very useful. Good quality, acceptable noise levels with the motor running at full speed, clear instructions and a breeze to set it up. 4 stars only as the plastic arc with the toys is quite flimsy and my son broke it with few quick pulls.
