Fits or 93 YJ pretty good. A bit tight. It really Measures just under 8 1/2"wide. Passenger seat works well just secured it with a small gate handle. The straps did not hold up. Tons of storage inside

UPDATED REVIEW:Upon unboxing all went well, no damage. Opened instruction manual and had to laugh. Manual is a photocopy in Black & White. When instructions say refer to figure 1 which is a black silhouette that has zero detail it was obvious you're on your own. I reviewed the parts list and was short Acorn Cap nuts. The neoprene liner was factory folded so tightly that it is clearly permanently creased.To sum it up, it's a lot like my jeep. Sturdy, steel, but needs work.Absent the missing hardware and ruined liner it's a good product.I reached out to Omix as they are the manufacturer. Their customer support said "There's nothing we can do for you just send it back. Amazon sellers send out seconds and blems just trying to make a quick buck so send it back and by one direct from us" that was all they had to say. What customer service. Funniest part was the instructions said to call them for issues.

Got it for my Jeep 93 YJ and I love it. It is a tight squeeze between the seats but has a lot more storage than the factory one. I did cut off the cup holders though because it would have cause shifting issues if I had drinks in it. The quality is good enough for the price and it is pretty easy to set up. You will have to drill some holes into the tub for installation but it’s not difficult. For the money, I could not be happier with it for it will add an additional obstacle for would-be thieves.

I purchased two of these and they were both defective when they arrived. The first one came in an open box and the console appeared to have been dropped. It had a dent and missing paint chipped away in one corner. I returned that one and figured accidents happen so I ordered the second one. THAT one arrived with the padded lid loose in the box. The spot welds that held the padded lid to the hinge were broken off and the lid was unattached. On a side note, while I had the console out of the box, I decided to try a fit test to see if it would fit in my 76 CJ7 because it looked a little wide for the gap I had between the seat belt brackets. It does NOT fit. I would have to move the passenger seat over about 2 to 3 inches for the console to fit easily between the seats or split the move into 1 to 1.5 inch movements of both the driver and passenger seats. PLUS, it is of such a length that it almost touches the elevated area on which the rear seat is mounted. That means it will take away leg room from back seat passengers. I REALLY wanted this to work but besides obvious quality issues (welds), it just is not a good physical fit without drilling new seat mounting holes for one or both of the front seats. At least that is what I found on my 76 CJ7. Good Luck!

For an older Jeep, this is a great product to protect your items. I have a 1989 Jeep Wrangler and needed a secure place for my items, this fits the bill. Easy to install and very sturdy.

The box was well made but, does not fit a 1995 jeep wrangler that is unless you want to go without seat belts. the fit was very poor it would have been tilted back unless i used a 1inch block of wood to level it.

Arrived with the paint chipped and some hardware missing. Box was in great condition so I can’t blame post office on this one. It was like the threw the bag of screws in it and too bad if some leaked out. Radio did not fit without major alterations. It says it fits a YJ but it is very very tight if you have seatbelts... install was a pain trying to line up where the screw holes needed to be drilled. Now that it is in it does work but needed a lot to get there.
