One-Step Instant Push Up Hexagon Beach Tent (Tall)

We've had one of those older style beach tents (where you have to put the poles together and feed them through the pockets) for quite awhile now, and it was starting to fall apart. I decided to give this a try to replace the old one, and it is so much easier. There is no assembly required at all. Just open it up, fold it out and make the connection on top. I tried doing it myself, and it does take quite a bit of force to get the 2 pieces to connect, so I couldn't do it at first. Instead, I flipped the hole thing upside down and was able to push down on it to make the connection, quite easily. One connection is all it takes. It seems sturdier than my old tent, and I like that it has 3 windows for good air circulation (my old one only had 2). It helps to let air through on windy days too, to avoid it blowing away. Also LOVE the sand/weight pockets to keep it down. Such a great idea. I used to have to search for big rocks to hold down the corners of my old one (the stakes never stayed firm enough in the sand, and the loops eventually broke anyway), and quickly fill it with our stuff to keep it in place. No more with this one. Also love the zip up front. My old one didn't have that either, and while we were able to do quick changes with the kids, with some fancy maneuvering, this now gives you full privacy. It's a great size (tall and wide), and I highly recommend this model over the other versions.

This is a fantastic tent. I have used it by the lakes of Minnesota and the costal beaches. It goes up very easily (even in a heavy beach wind -if you put your back to the wind and open the tent away from you). Always put it away with the windows unzipped. This makes opening in wind much easier. On a sandy beach fill the pouches up with sand (on the sides and back) and it will stay put. I have used it heavily all season (and on vacation) seams, stays, and zippers are all working well. This tent protects from the sun, light rain, and wind very well. The people around me who watch me open it are amazed at how fast and easy it opens. The last point, the carrying bag is large enough to be able to stuff the tent in even when it is poorly packed. Pros:This tent is the easiest tent I've ever used.Takes just a few minutes to open which is great with 3 kids under 5 at the beach.Takes a little strength to pull hubs together to set up and pull apart to collapse. My wife finds it easier to hold it off the ground on it's side to assemble/collapse.The bag it comes in is ample to replace tent even when you don't wrap it up. Nice to save time when you have 3 tired little ones.The three large windows provide a nice ventilation.Ample room for stuff/5 people.Good quality materials.Cons:My wife is 5'6 and can't stand up in tent.Tent is VERY HOT at the beach when closed up for privacy/changing with widows/door closed. We are considering hanging towels on top of tent with clothespins on our next trip.

This tent is (was) ingenius in its design, or so I thought. Easy to set up and super portable; however, the tent failed to stand up to even a single season of use. After only 2 uses, the plastic center pieces that connect the frame jammed and had to be separated using a screwdriver. Soon after, we began noticing that even the slightest breeze would cause the left front tent leg to buckle, effectively collapsing the left side of the tent. The elbow joint on this leg completely sheered in half after around 6 total uses (3 months), rendering the tent useless and unreturnable. It should be noted that the manufacturer, Genji Sports has no website or customer service number.

love the beach cover, but its not as easy to set up or take down as indicated. It takes force to snap the top support in place, so much so it takes a couple of us working together.. Maybe i got the lemon??

This item is quick and easy to set up. The only problem is the quality of the material. The wall of my tent broke the first time out. I tried contacting the manufacturer for a warranty but is been a week with not response from them. Buy this item only if you are ok with substandard quality and customer service.

The product said it literally would not be shipped for a month, but got it in less than 2 weeks. Ordered for my son and all the family, as we had all come back from a beach vacation that charged a lot for a cabana shade spot. This product is AMAZING. It goes up in seconds, is large and airy, has the floor and approach entry cover and/or closure flap. PERFECT for the beach as it has mesh windows for cross ventilation and sandbag pockets for additional ballast (love the suggestion from a previous customer that recommended not loading the sand directly into the "bags", but using ziplock backs to load the sand in and THEN put them in the ballast pockets). Could not be more pleased with the construction, ease of use and room. This is a true winner!

We love this! Took it on a beach vacation with our infant daughter And I was able to stay in and even nurse her in comfort and privacy. The windows provide great ventilation and I was even able to let her nap in the tent while we splashed in the ocean a few feet away. The only drawback is that it is pretty tough to PPP open. My husband does it easily, but it's too tough for me. Other than that, it's great. I would suggest a lip to prevent sand from getting inside, but we used a cooler full of seawater as a foot-washing station next to the door and it worked out great. Sonlight my 5-year-old can carry it and it folds up really easily and fits right back in the bag without having to shove it in or wrap it super tight. Great quality. We expect to be using this for years to come.
