The replacement sashes fit exactly as like the original that we had to replace. Very easy to remove the old ones and install the new ones. The new sashes feel a lot stronger, and I feel confident they will outlast the windows because they are metal and not plastic. Over the years the original sashes installed by the window installer degraded most probably from the UV light coming in through the window. These were made of a type of plastic. These metal ones are very strongly made, match the white of our window frames, and were easy to install. If possible, I would suggest to use the original screws from the old sashes. The original screws were of a slightly different thread, and their length was slightly shorter. I did not want to take a chance on degrading the self tap type thread in the frame, and the length of the new screws appeared to be about 1/8 inch longer. In my case I felt safer to use the original screws. I saw in the package there is a diagram showing the dimensions. This would be very handy if making a new installation. From my point of view this is a good quality window sash.

I am pleased with the quality of this sash lift: The white powder coating was evenly applied and of a good thickness. The weight of the diecast metal construction is also apparent and should wear well with repeated use. I drilled 2 pilot holes before attaching to the window frame to avoid any risk of splitting the wood. I also made sure not to position too close to the glass to prevent any possible cracking of the window. So just be mindful of these extra steps to avoid any headaches. Would buy again.

The handles are made of metal, which are very sturdy. They look very nice and were super easy to install. I was a bit nervous about drilling into the sash, but measure to center with the window closed and installed the handle. Use a small drill bit first, and the screws included will adhere fine. Enclosed is the handle on a Pella Double Hung Window from my kitchen. Only one window is shown, and I used one handle per window. Depending on the size of your window, you may want to use two. My window measured 28 inches across.

These are made of metal with an attractive white finish. They are eay to install but be careful to drill the screws' pilot holes far enogh down so they miss the window pane or you might crack the glass. A piece of masking tape wrapped around the drill bit makes a great depth guage to avoid drilling deeper than necessary. White phillips flat head screws are included.

I used these handles as replacements for the old plastic ones around my house that have been cracking. The are sturdy and they fit the existing holes left behind by the old handles. But, I learned the hard way that the provided screws are too long for my windows! They penetrated through the vinyl, and cracked the glass on the other side. From now on I will continue to use the original screws from the old handles.

I bought different sash pulls before and they cracked. These are metal and will last forever. I had to paint them but that was no big deal.

Perfect - much better handles than the plastic ones that came originally with the horizontal sliding windows. Given the excellent feedback for others, I reused my screws (from the original plastic handles) to avoid the longer screws from possibly contacting (and cracking) the glass. Original screws fit perfectly. There were two handles in each pack - exactly what I needed

Some people find the screws too big. In my case I had to go buy bigger ones. That’s fine, it all depends on what you are replacing. My only issue is the price, it was ok for the one window (4 handles) but now I want to do the whole upstairs, and 12 sets at 17 (plus new screws) seems excessive. However, after a month, I’ve been super happy with the product itself.

These are perfect that I ordered 3 sets for all my windows. They are metal and sturdy. Love that even screw is white coated.
