SeachemKanaplex (Pack of 2)

Not an expert but I think that this worked great. We tried many different items to help our koi who had a cotton fungal disease and then developed septicemia; all down the fishes side was white fungus, then soon after bright red with blood. We think she had an injury. We were super close to giving up hope. We used malachite green, primafix, melafix, Erythromycin, then Kanaplex was finally the thing which showed easily the most progress quickly. The skin/scales healed, a slime coat developed, redness reduced by half in one week. Definitely use a separate tank/tub with aeration as this stuff should only be used on the sick fish as needed. Be sure to measure the amounts needed accurately. We read that the mostly gram positive bacteria that Erythromycin attacks was not the best solution, so tried this mostly gram negative antibiotic kanamycin sulfate, which is supposedly easier for the fish to get benefits from as the medicine did not need to be swallowed using food etc. just popped it in the water. I think this saved our poor fishy. We will keep an eye on it but its looking very positive so far. I changed the water by 1/3rd every other day as the phosphate levels were getting high, so testing the water was important. Please don't give up on the little fishies :-) Hope this helps.

I've used Seachem products before. Very reliable company when it comes to fish care. No mess, and takes the guess work out of what is already a stressful time. Seachem uses real medicine in it's products ~ none of that prayers and broken promises from "remedies". 😢Poor Hanky Panky! I got sick and so did he. I was unable to keep up with cleaning his tank. Bad news for a flowerhorn ~ they cannot tolerate neglect. As soon as I could get out of bed ~ Hank's tank was at the top of the list. It was worse than I thought 😢. My baby was badly burned from ammonia and I found out to late the city made changes to the tap water because of the rain. (It wasn't that much rain!) Of course the the so called supplies Petco carries are useless! (Overpriced ground up leaves and pinches of salt). Hank needed serious attention ~ so I ordered on Amazon! medication and water conditioner was delivered in less than 48 hours! In the rain ~ on a Sunday!! (Just signed up for Prime a week ago).It's slow going. Hank's color is better. And he's a little more active. Neither one of us are out of the woods yet. But, we're grateful for Amazon!

Product works great, would be nicer if they had a larger sized container available and would be great if they actually made a food with this mixed in ( one of their recommendations is mixing it in with your fishes food) or if it came in pre measured packs like APIs stuff. Scooping those little scoops for a 120 gal tank takes a while !

The powder is solid so I’m going to have to break it up. I will update when I start dosing on my sick betta fish

I like the remedy for my fish tank, used this to help a Cichlid that was up in years, and was not improving with the "blue" remedy I had on hand. Research led me to choose the Kanaplex 2 pack, as it can help remedy a variety of bacterial issues with fish.The vials contain a powdered , very easy to dissolve medicine. The vial has the spoon attached to the inside of the cap for ease and accuracy of measurement dose, by the gallon.There was no clouding of the tank, and that is a huge plus. I turned off the filter and raised the tank temperature a few degrees for 24 hrs. to help my fish recover.I felt the Kanaplex was easy to get to the fish, he seemed soothed and relieved by the meds, and felt the price of the remedy was fair and reasonable, I still have some left over for any future events.My first experience administering the Kanaplex to my fish, glad to know of it's availability and effectiveness, too. Certainly recommended!
