Are these for adults?

yes - but they are sized so try and make sure you order for your hand size

Play twice a week. i get some heavy shots..usually wear high quality puma ,adidas ,but they've gotten too expensive. will these hold up just as well?

My daughter uses them and I feel they are very close in quality to something that is typically in the 100-125 range of gloves.

What size should I order if my son has 16cm length and circumference is 20cm?

Please refer to this video to know the proper sizing of your hands and refer to the chart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4p1qxdt_Ys https://renegade-gk.com/pages/goalie-glove-sizing
