First, really funny that the only negative review was that the bits are short. They're stubby bits!! Too funny.These are great for tight spaces, especially if you have clearance issues with a drill press or mill and a tall part in the vice. They're also stiffer because of the shorter length. I've always just bought individual bits when I needed one, but finally bought a set. Should have done that years ago.It's a nice case, all well made, and hey, it has that US made stamp, too. All around a great deal.

If you've bought drills primarily from big box stores these will blow your mind. Super sharp and the geometry is near perfect. Cuts through stainless and carbon steel like butter. Get you some, you know you need them.

I was looking for a set of drills for my Proxxon FF 230 micro mill/drill, and this set is perfect. With a small milling machine, there often isn't a lot of vertical clearance, and jobber-length drills in the larger sizes are simply too long. With screw-machine-length drills, I can usually establish a reference with my edge/center finder and then immediately insert the correct drill without changing the table-to-spindle distance.These drills are sharp and run true. I've bought a few Chinese drill sets lately, and while you may be able to pick up a 115-piece set for less than $50, good luck drilling metal with them and having the hole be round and close to the desired size.

I purchased this “shorty” drill bit set to fit in a super tight space with an 90 degree angle drill and some cutting oil. This set was Exactly what I needed for the tight fit on my tractor. A+, Recommended!

This is my 2nd set. My work bought me a set and have lost and broke a couple. But they cut better then any drill I've ever used. I've spent 350. For the snap on thunder drill bit set and they don't even come close in performance.

Stubby drill bits work great in my magnetic base drill. A must have for these kind of drills! Wish I could find stubby drill bits larger than 1/2”.

Were short enough for me to get the job done.

Great for the price. Of course, at the price they could be total crap and still be "great for the price", but they do seem to be decent quality.I'm working aluminum, so I can not rate the durability, but they are initially quite sharp and cut well, at least. I'll be back with an update if I have problems.

Good for small machine work , stiffer than long drills.
