Dazzber Dog Collar Martingale Collar Nylon No Pull Pet Collar Heavy Duty Dog Martingale Collars for Medium and Large Dogs

I would give this collar five stars, and I want to. However, it has a dangerous flaw I never expected. Do you see that black Dazzber "brand label" on the collar in the picture? That is a protruding piece of rubber-like materiel that is sewn on (fairly well) and sticks out far enough that you cannot use that entire area for adjustment of length. It's a fairly long piece of rubber. So, of course, my pup needed to be adjusted right there but I could not because this was in the way. Also, the rubber was long enough that adjusting past it would have made the collar too tight. So, I thought that since this was a "no escape" type collar with an extension that I could just leave it a little loose. I just happened to stay home from work today and heard my dog screaming in the other room. The collar was loose enough that he had got his lower jaw hung in the extension part. I though I was going to have to cut the collar off, but I managed to keep him calm and not let him break his jaw. This is NOT acceptable.I do like this collar other than this hazard.If you are going to buy one, the rubber piece is sewn on and can be removed with a very sharp and small hobby knife or maybe even a stitch removal tool. I strongly suggest removing this piece.If the manufacturer reads this, I would ask you find a better way to display your name on the product than this. If you did, it would change to five stars. However, your "vanity plate" almost cost my puppy a broken jaw. Two stars is pushing it.

The Martingale Collar performs as it should, it is a safe and secure collar and the picture shows it as it is. The Bright Pink is very nice. What I liked the most is it seems well constructed and does not look like it will fall a part. The workmanship and how it was sewn looks great. I also like that the collar does not have a quick locking latch that could unlatch or fail and now you have lost your pet. The collar does not need this as if you adjust it to the correct size you should be able to side it over your pet's head easily but when attach to your leash it will tighten up if the pet pulls on the leash. Your pet can not easily shake or it's head out of this type collar. Please invest in this collar and not a metal chain choker as they can severely damage your pet neck and throat area.

I ordered this for a Standard Poodle mix puppy that is currently 13 lbs and on the thin side. I ordered a small and it’s much too large. It fits around her neck, but the portion that pulls is so long that it tangles in her mouth and is weighed down by the leash so it mostly just hangs. I tried it on my 15 lbs Havanese and it was bulky on him, too. She will be 45 lbs fully grown so I will report back once she grows. It seems durable though so I think a medium and larger would be a good purchase, but for little dogs, even the small is too large. In terms of function, it appears to do what it states: it tightens when pulled, then relaxes to flat. It doesn’t relax flat to its original position when on my dogs, but it does relax flat when I was trying it with my hands. That could be because the size is too big for my small dogs, however, so don’t let that deter you.

Came in really nice packaging and the metal tag even had a protector! The color is perfect and the quality is great! was easy to put on over my dog's head. Adjusting it is slightly challenging and it took me a min to fit it to my dog's neck so it was comfortable but not too long!! I've only taken him for one walk so far and there's a little less pulling going on but my dog is also stubborn so it may just take him longer to learn!

Great collar but I am only giving 3 stars because if you have two dogs that play fight this collar can kill yourdog. My puppy was wearing one and the bigger dog got it stuck on her teeth and literally almost choked him to death. We had to get a knife and cut it off of him and hold her still while it was stuck in her mouth. I still like this collar. But I never leave it on them anymore. Only slip it on as needed and then take it right back off. Don't leave dogs unsupervised in this

I have a large bread dog with a small head, so she gets most collars off. I don't know what the difference is with this collar, but she must like it. She even comes to me to have it put back on. I don't understand the negative reviews. It is solid made and easy to adjust. My dog is well trained, so when she feels the slightest tightness she quits sniffing the ground and hugs up next to me. I like this collar very much.

Never used this type of collar before. Always used traditional ones. Our new Jack Russell is a handful and this helps us keep her under control.....for the most part. It does what it claims. Each dog is different though. Our dog got so crazy towards another dog that she almost passed out from choking herself. Be sure to measure the dog's neck carefully.

Nice harness. Great looking, good quality and easy to put on. However it is not escape proof, my dog escaped from it within a few minutes. Tried adjusting it several times and he always got out. So if your dog can get out of harnesses, expect them to get out of this one too.
