Under $80 Juggernaut (3 speaker battle)
was having a hard time choosing between this, and Oontz angle 3 Pro, and a Doss Soundbox Pro. Im looking for something primarily for the house to be used in a bedroom/office. EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS A WINNER and I wouldnt hesitate to choose any of the 3. Sound quality was very very....VERY comparable with each one and pretty much a wash (explained below). I dont like letting my batteries drain so I cant vouch for battery life on each one, but im not worried. Below is why I would choose each model, hopefully it helps you. Also if it matters, I listened to Radiohead-The National Anthem and Skrillex-Rumble to test the speakers. --Why I chose the Doss Soundbox Pro: I hate to admit it but the price....and I actually chose this one over the Tribit and Oontz after my sound tests. The sound was on par with the other 2 (similar wattage to the Oontz) and I liked this one just a hair more than the Oontz because it was a little crisper sounding where the Oontz was a little fuller...if that makes sense. So with the sound being the same, the fact that I could ALSO pair multiple Doss speakers for a multi speaker set up just like the Oontz (this is a great feature for when entertaining guests/having a small party/get-together), and considering I'd primarily be using this in a bedroom (where the powerbank wouldnt come in as handy like the Oontz has).....I had to choose this one. I didnt realize it was the cheapest until I had finished testing all 3 and went back to the invoice. This is the best bang for your buck speaker of the 3 and im big on value....but dont mind spending either if the value is there. --Why I would choose this speaker (Tribit Stormbox Micro 2): This one is the most travel friendly. Its the smallest and has a strap across the backside of it so you can easily attach it to a backpack, bike, UTV/ATV or any type of bar....the straps so tight to the body of the speaker that you can even put it on something as small as a car antenna and itd hold securely. Since the strap is snug to the body it stays secured. They dont list the wattage and this had the lowest wattage of the bunch at 10w compared to the other 2 at 20w/21w each.....but it was without a doubt equally as loud as the other two with trebles and bass being on par with the other two. Id really like to see how loud and clean a tribit with higher wattage sounds if this 10w speaker matched the higher wattage speakers I compared it to in my test. --Why I would choose the Oontz Angle 3 Pro instead: This one was the biggest and beefiest which I am a fan off....but I dont want you to think its a brick. its still plenty light where it wont feel like a burden lugging it around. This one also has a ocean/boat theme color pattern which is sweet and almost swayed me since i will be using this on my boat too. The other thing that almost swayed me was that the speaker can be used as a powerbank!!! So this ones sound is just as good as the other but the standout features are the looks, and the fact that it can be used as a powerbank which can come in very handy. Its not included but they have a bracket mount that clamps on to stuff.......not sure how it would hold up to movement and things like that but there is that option out there. These can also be paired with other Oontz speakers for a multi speaker set up. --Why I would choose the Doss Soundbox Pro: I hate to admit it but the price....and I actually chose this one over the Tribit and Oontz after my sound tests. The sound was on par with the other 2 (similar wattage to the Oontz) and I liked this one just a hair more than the Oontz because it was a little crisper sounding where the Oontz was a little fuller...if that makes sense. A good unit with many features, and perhaps a tad pricey because of those features
In the world of Bluetooth speakers, this one struck me as a tad pricey, but not overly so. I am hoping for quality of build to let this thing last many years, and we'll see how that works. Meantime, the sound is nice. I use it mostly to listen to podcasts (including podcasts with music) and to stream stuff from Amazon music and Pandora, and the sound quality is OK for me for those purposes. I haven't used the bass emphasis button, finding I don't need that for what I listen to. The lighting feature is amusing, but I keep it off to lengthen battery life. The speakers provide a stereo sound, but I can't really discern a stereo result. Which is OK, I wasn't really expecting much in those regards, considering the speakers are so close to one another. The unit pairs with my iPhone extremely quickly. Haven't had it long enough to assess battery life (which can be a function of volume, use of lighting effects, use of the bass effect, and perhaps the phase of the moon). Overall, it meets my expectations fully and feels like it is well made.

Strong BT connection, sounds good and the battery lasts a decent length
decent quality sound. Long battery life didn't expect more than that for my use case. We use this speaker when working around the garden so it needed to be tough and handle the weather. works perfectly for this. Connectivity is straight forward and solid Durability is good but don't drop it too many times. good value for what I paid for it.

Great little unit for the price
I was a bit skeptical about purchasing the DOSS SoundBox. i asked myself - can a Bluetooth speaker this small really deliver the great sound that is advertised. Well, the answer is a resounding yes. For a unit this size it packs a punch and is equally effective at low volume. One reviewer commented that the mid=range had a static quality and a humming sound at low volume but that did not happen with me, The sound is crystal clear throughout the entire sound spectrum. The small size makes it super easy to carry anywhere and though it is lightweight is is still sturdily built. A carrying case would have been a nice touch but maybe someone at DOSS will think of it. It is advertised as waterproof but I had not tried it under those conditions though the description clearly says not to submerge the unit - it would be OK in rain or sprinklers but even then why take the chance? The controls take a little bit of time to master. The lights s for instance are controlled by long pressing the bass boost or by using the mode button for different color displays as I understand. The volume can be controlled by the plus and minus buttons on the top left of the unit but if you long press them you either go to the previous track or the next one - found this out. The volume on the unit is very useful however as you do not have to access the volume from your paired device, especially if you receive a phone call through the speaker. In this case adjust the volume accordingly - otherwise you so not need to stop the music - the music automatically pauses just as if you were listening to music from the paired device alone. After the call the music will resume. The BassBoost does increase the bass some but not a great deal. it is still enough however to enhance the music. If one desires a huge bass output then use external speakers or buy a bigger Bluetooth speaker The battery life is just fine at 20 hours and it would take around 3-4 hours to fully recharge. So this unit fits my needs perfectly and should satisfy just about anyone but the most finicky. In my opinion the DOSS Sound Box cannot be beat for the size or the price. Just go for it.

Like The Touch Model, But Better!
I was hesitant to purchase another bluetooth portable speaker because the Doss Soundbox Touch has worked so well. This speaker has not let me down. It weighs more than the Touch model, and the physical size is larger, but not by much. The textured sides give it a nice feel, while making sure not to drop it when moving it from room to room. The front facing grill feels plenty tough, however I don't feel like really putting it to the test. In the box, you get; A USB to Micro USB charge cord, 3.5mm Male to Male headphone cable, and the Instruction Manual. Quite easy to follow, from opening the package, to getting started playing some tunes. Bluetooth was very simple and quick to pair, and the automatic pairing time, from off to on, is relatively quick. The startup tone is not overwhelming, nor is it overly loud. The light ring around the speaker grill is not too bright, and the ability to change the light mode, or just turn them off, is nice. I personally like the solid, but color fading mode. On to the sound! Volume output speaks plenty. For 20w, it can fill even a loud area with music pretty easily. At full volume, there is little distortion. The highs are crisp, and the mid range is right where I like it. Not much for low frequency output, but the drivers are not physically big enough to move much for air, therefore not much bass can be output. I did seem to get a bit more depth out of it, just by carefully choosing the placement of the speaker in any given room. Corners, and window ledges seem to be friendly to it. The "Bass Boost" button on the top, seems to me like more of a "low pass filter". The higher frequency seems to be cut, to give the effect of more mid/low range. I don't hear any more bass produced, so I just chose to leave the feature off. Comparing the Soundbox Pro to the Soundbox Touch, I'd have to say the mid volume output of both of them is very similar. The Pro however, was able to drown out the Touch when I cranked them both up. Now for the function I purchased the speakers to try! TWS (True Wireless Stereo), is a way that two of the speakers can be used at the same time, when linking the main speaker to a bluetooth enabled device. I used my iPhone 6. Paired to the first speaker I opened, turning the second speaker on, and holding the "Add" button on top of both. They linked to each other quick, and give you the indicator lights on top as to which is the left/right speaker. Both lights (if used) will sync, as will the volume and bass boost. I tested them as far as 25ft from each other, and they stayed in sync just fine. Having two of them, makes filling a room with music, that much easier. You've done very well again, Doss!

Great little speaker!
This speaker is great. So far the battery life is superb and it gets very loud! I use this speaker in conjunction with a NUX Mighty Plug for guitar on the go. As expected with such a small speaker box the bass isn't extremely powerful but it sounds very crisp and full range if placed in the corner of a room with solid walls. I had a problem with the unit powering itself off at first until I realized it wasn't a low battery but an 'auto-off' feature when not playing anything. Searching this on the web, I didn't find anything on either their website or manual regarding an 'auto-off' feature for this model. Some suggested that DOSS has a firmware update available that disabled it. I spoke through email with a very nice person named Lizzie with their Customer Care team. Lizzie explained that units with the Version ID of VS3582 do not require any firmware updates to enable or disable this feature. If yours is a VS3582 then all you need to do in order to enable/disable the 'auto-off' feature is a button combo of Mode+Power and you'll see if flash red twice for off, green twice for on. Hold the bass button to cycle through lighting options (low, high, off). So far this little speaker has impressed me with what I intended to do with it and all my expectations are met. I am considering a 2nd one for stereo play! Hopefully Lizzie gets a raise soon

Great quality, great features, easy to set up.
I purchased 2 of these Doss speakers to connect together and connect to my Amazon Echo and it did not disappoint. It was extremely simple to set up and to get both speakers connected together took 2 seconds. You should note though that whilst the 2 or more speakers do connect together, they both play the same sound ie. it’s not true stereo with one playing left and the other right. But to me that doesn’t matter. It sounded great. The other reason for purchasing was to connect to my Amazon Echo. I have both an Echo and an Echo Dot and they very easily connect to both. I did read one review that said it won’t connect to the Echo (only the Dot) but it’s simply not true. So now, when I speak to Alexa, I can hear her response and play music via Alexa through the Doss speakers. The colour option is a really nice touch. I found the flashing to the beat a tad annoying so keep it on solid colour and it looks fab. I’m not sure what else anyone would want in a wireless speaker because as far as I can tell, this is just great. Does all I want and more.
