Excellent as a visual prop
I purchased this to complement a Dean Winchester costume for Halloween. The grips come off for easy spray-painting and conceal two pieces of steel to add a little heft. The hammer action is for looks only and is not part of the functionality of the pistol. It is not reliable and sometimes does not snap up when the trigger is pulled (even before I painted it). I can not speak to the accuracy when shooting or the reliability and durability of the action. As a visual piece it is great.

Good for a Prop
First I'd like to clarify that no part of the body of this airsoft gun is metal. While one would typically assume that "METAL SPRING" means it is a spring-powered gun with a metal body, here it seems to mean that the spring itself is made of metal. That should be expected which makes this title misleading. The gun is moderately weighted, but it is not as heavy as the real thing I bought this item to use it as a prop for a M1911A1. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it to find that it is actually true to form for a proper M1911A1: arched mainspring housing, short trigger w/ knurled front, relief cuts in the frame, longer grip safety tang, longer hammer spur, proper "high" ejection port, and full checkered grips. Sights are squared which and the hammer is flat-sided, which would indicate a 1944 or later production. The safeties both function and prevent the hammer and trigger from moving. The slide release is non functional. There are no roll marks of any kind on the slide I have not tested function of the gun beyond shooting over a few aluminum cans at about 20' and I cannot comment on the long-term durability. I will say that the pistol does fit properly into a M1916 leather holster perfectly; it is not too snug or loose. In short, for $10 this makes a great prop for a costume and is spot-on visually for an M1911A1. **EDIT** When I purchased this product it was $9.99. At that price it is a good deal. The most I would pay for this would be $15.

Great Gun Nonetheless
I love this gun. It feels good in the hands, it works. Nothing else to say, but it’s amazing and I highly recommend.

what a joke.
This can’t even be used as a toy. You shoot and the spring up top comes out and you have to put it back together.. hard to load shoots to bbs at a time. hard to cock.. please don’t buy. Hard to return because you have to open the bag of bbs bought separate which doesn’t help much and loader no good can’t return opened. waste of money.

Weak plastic
Not a great quality gun. Broke the day after it arrived.

Works
Feels like cheap plastic. But it's fun to shoot in my back yard.

Leaves a fair bit to be desired
Makes for a decent prop or fidget toy but that’s about it Item received did not match images, got an all black gun opposed to the fake wood grips shown in all images, costs the same as their “Mk23” model but feels 4x as cheap, the Mk23 has weight and feels solid, this 1911 feels hollow, has no weight to it, and the magazine is very flimsy

Real Pistol Feel
This training pistol feels great, size and weight are good. the accuracy is surprisingly good. the white air soft pellets that come with are the pistol are very accurate, I tried some red air soft pellets, the red ones are not good for this pistol too light they just float off and drift no good . the white pellets you can see them right into the target again very accurate. this training pistol is very fun to shoot, everyone in my family wants a turn. great way to learn gun safety. I will get more of these spring action pistols. i'm not interested in the CO2 pistols I know they have more power but I like the spring action hammer and working slide of this M21. it's very fun you'll enjoy it.
