Nice product. It tastes a little weird but hey
Nice product. It tastes a little weird but hey, what can you do. It is hard to chip it off for the salt shaker but I figured it out. Hahaha, kidding. It's a salt lick for deer. If deer feel like salt they come to it, if they don't they don't. I don 't expect it to bring in every deer that exists within a 400 mile area. It's a nice little add to help keep deer around for a minute.

Not just for deers
I had this set up next to my trail cam, but it was out of view of the actual camera. I had photos of deer, but I had a photo of a raccoon every night. It was out for 1 week, and the block was gone next time I was out there. I think the raccoon was the one who ate it or stole it. It did rain hard for two days of the week, which might have dissolved it too, but not sure. All I know is something got it.

Word must of gotten out that apple season in New England ended 5 months ago and though this may smell like apple's it certainly
It appears that the Deer of 02138 are very picky about their free handouts. Word must of gotten out that apple season in New England ended 5 months ago and though this may smell like apple's it certainly couldn't be fresh. Tongue in cheek, seems like a great idea but my guess is this is on a last resort type of food for deer, so they just didn't go for it.

Splurge for your deer friends
I’ve used this brand before to encourage deer sightings. You have to ensure the block settles in the ground (partially buried), and keep in mind, at least for white tailed deer on the East Coast, that deer only need to seek out the minerals during the spring when antlers are growing. I have seen that they come around April-May. Excited to see them come soon! Agree with others that this may be pretty pricey for what you get.

Does not work
I live in a development, however, it is a wooded development so we have a lot of deer around, always have. The block has been in our yard for months now and only 1 deer came up to lick it. Actually, deer used to always come in our back yard, now they don't even come close. This product is more like a deer repelant.

I am extremely disappointed with this product
I am extremely disappointed with this product.I have deer in my yard at all hours of the day and night. They will eat bird seed and apples slices I place for them. They merely approach this product and move past it.They have absolutely no interest in it at all and have not touched it.I followed the instruction of washing it clean from scent. BTW I live in CT and must add I routinely cut apples slices that are covered with my scent and they devour it.The product is just plane poor and not worth a nickel.

Not just for hunters
I'm amazed at how well this holds up. We had the wettest spring on record, yet this did not seem to melt. My wife and I just wanted to attract deer so we could see them from our bay window. It worked like a charm. A doe and her fawns regularly frequent our salt lick. We plan to always have this deer treat available for our deer neighbors.

Mighty Deer Lick
This block is amazing. I put it out on a Monday came and checked it on a Wednesday and there was deer fur everywhere and the block had been moved almost 2 feet. I think they were fighting over it or trying to move each other out the way to get to it lol. This is a very affective block, hands down the best block I have ever tried. Its a MUST BUY!!
