They are freeze dried so keep this in mind. They are really tasty and definitely travel worthy. Great individual servings so no waste. Highly recommend.

This is the second time I've ordered these and they are delicious. I eat one a day and I love them. I have tried other dried fruit, but the quality doesn't compare.

I had been getting these at the bookstore at my college but they were getting to expensive so I found them on amazon. I decided to try some other flavors and got this. The strawberry banana flavor is my least favorite. The strawberries are bitter and the bananas just taste weird. I think that I ate only a few bites from that bag before tossing it. Next I tried the pear ones and they were ok. I ate the whole bag and will be eating some more bags of it. It has a completely different texture than the apple flavor that I a used to. The apple ones were good but were a little bit more soggy and not as crisp as the same product purchased through my school book store. Again I ate the whole bag and will be eating more bags of it. I think that in the future I will just be buying the apple and maybe the pear flavors. These are freeze dried so that they have little to no moisture to them. One think that I like is that your hands do not become sticky and gorse after eating one bite of them. With normal dried fruit I hate reaching my hand into the bag because of how sticky it is in there. I can eat a whole bag of these and then just wipe my hands together a couple of times and they are clean. These are a good healthy snack, though I am surprised that they do not have more things listed on the GA than they do considering all that is in these is dried fruit and nothing else. The reason I did not give this 5 stars is because i do not like the strawberry flavor at all.

Tasty and crispy

This is the second brand of freeze dried banana chips that I have tried, and although the price is hard to beat, the texture is a bit odd. Starting with the Brothers branded banana chips, I found the look of the banana chips very strange, they seem to be very puffed and airy looking, only partially resembling a banana slice. Strangely enough, the texture of chips when eaten also gave off a light and very airy feeling where the chip sort of dissolves in your mouth. When chewed, the banana turns into a sticky paste that sticks all over your teeth. Although the taste wasn't horrible, I wouldn't say it is the very best either. There was a definite banana taste, but the other two factors really affected the enjoyment of the actual crisp for me. I have tried the richmoor brand of freeze dried banana chips and I thoroughly enjoyed the taste as well as the texture. The richmoor banana slices were much more banana-like and there was much more of a satisfying crunch when eaten. From what I understand, the freeze drying process is supposed to preserve the actual shape and look of the food while removing all of the moisture. The richmoor brand of chips is indicative of this process and the brothers brand is not.
