These candles were designed to fit a spring-loaded lantern or chandelier. They will last around 12 hours each and remain virtually smokeless and dripless if you follow the following: Trim the wick to about ¼ inch. Only burn inside a secure candle lantern. Burn away from a strong breeze. Always burn in a holder, on fireproof surfaces and away from children, drafts, and anything flamable. A bit about wax: the mass amount of candles out there burn paraffin wax.
