What exactly tube upgrade improve? Any chance to reduce sparking of static noise with tube upgrade?

I don't think it's the tubes making the noise. I believe it's very sensitive to interference. I have to keep my unit away from everything. Could use better grounding too.

power supply included?

Yup. It doesn't work on batteries, tubes draw way too much power. Upgrading the tube makes a big difference.

Why is this advertised for condenser mics? Pre-amps like this are for dynamic and ribbon mics.

It is for condenser mics. Some years back I had an audio interface without 48 volts and I used this for some time to power my condenser mic. Most newer audio interfaces come with 48 volts so this is not needed. It does have small tube amp which is good for a warm tone and a limiter to let you sing louder or recorder louder instruments without over driving the input. I stopped using it when when I purchased a better interface.

How much gain does this have?
