Motorcycle batteries have gotten expensive. I just shelled out $60+ for a battery for my sport bike and would easily have spent more if I hadn't found a good deal. Deep discharging a typical lead acid or AGM battery repeatedly is a good way to kill them. They're just not designed for that. But I only get a chance to ride once or twice a week, and probably won't be riding for much longer since winter is approaching fast. To keep my battery topped up between rides, I bought this maintainer. The reviews are good and it appears to include desulfation and absorption charging stages, not just a straight trickle charge. It's also supposed to be safe for AGM batteries, which is what I currently have. Installation was simple. One of the harnesses supplied with the charger has ring terminals on the end. I connected these to the battery terminals and then routed the wiring harness along the frame of my motorcycle so that the free end emerged near the rear wheel. This end is equipped with an SAE connector, which is a type of polarized connector commonly used on battery maintainers. Operation is simple. When I park the bike, I plug the SAE connectors (one on the bike, one on the maintainer) together. That's it. I have to make sure the wire doesn't fall on the hot exhaust (I just drape it over the rear turn signal), but this is about as straightforward as it gets for a battery tender. The battery can stay buried in it's compartment under the seat and I can plug or unplug the tender in less than 10 seconds. I did purchase caps for the SAE connector, which keeps dirt and road spray out of it while I'm riding. The caps have a retaining ring that attaches them to the end of the cable. Remove the cap to plug in the maintainer. When you unplug the maintainer to go for a ride, reinstall the cap. Simple. I also put a dab of dielectric grease on the halves of the connector to make connecting/disconnecting easier and to eliminate any chance of corrosion in case moisture somehow manages to make its way in. So far this tender has kept my motorcycle battery topped up and ready to go. The motorcycle starts instantly every time, even if I leave it sitting for a week or more. The real test will come this winter, but for now I'm satisfied. I'll update after a few more months.

Purchased to use for my ATV battery. Happily surprised with this. Well worth the money. Was delivered quickly as promised. Easy to install/set up and use. I would recommend this to anyone like me who is looking for a battery charger/tender for their motorcycle/atv battery. This comes with instructions. The item consists of a power cord that connects the charger to a standard outlet. Then there is a 2nd cord from the charger to the battery. The end of this 2nd cord (charger to battery) allows you to connect a 3rd cord (the end) to the battery. There are two types of this end cord that comes in the package. The first type has alligator clips that plug into this 2nd cord then clips onto your positive and negative battery posts. Or, there is a 3rd cord that has eyelets that allow you to connect the eyelets to your battery's positive and negative posts via a hard connection (nut and washer) to the battery's positive and negative posts/wire connections. This end cord with eyelets can remain on the machine/battery so after use, you can quick plug the charger into this "eyelet cord" to trickle charge, maintain, etc... your battery. This functions great and as advertised. The display on the charger is clear so you know what the charger is doing.

It just works! Charged and maintained the battery of my car throughtout the night. Its such a relief to have this because i use my car 2 or 3 times per week and its for short rides, so disconnecting the battery inst enough. With this i suspect both my battery and alternator will last a lot longer since the downhill trend of draining the battery wont be no more

The charger seems to be working as it should but the cords need to be longer.

It works. It was easy to wire into my ATV and has an easy disconnect so I don’t have to hook it up and disconnect it when I use the ATV. it was just what I needed and the price was good.

Bought this to maintain the battery on a tractor. It was better than I expected. Clear indictor lights let you know what is going on with the battery. Bonus: it comes with an extra pigtail that you can bolt onto the battery terminals instead of always fiddling with the alligator clips.

Highly recommended for superbikes... I am using it for my Harley Davidson 48.

Este cargador funciona de maravilla para una motocicleta. Utilizo el cableado y el fusible incluidos para añadir un conector en el lateral de la moto. Ahora puedo cargar la batería sin quitar la tapa lateral.

Ho fatto una prova per verificare se era funzionante. Per il pochissimo tempo che l'ho collegato alla batteria della Vespa px ha funzionato bene. La prova vera e propria la farò quest'inverno quando la metterò a riposo per l'inverno. Aspetto,quindi, la verifica invernale.
