Great show
When I first watched this series, I didn't expect it to be any good, but it turned out to be one of the best made sports animes that I've seen. No ridiculous talent... no miracle shots... purely realistic struggle and hard work to overcome it all. Characters develop realistically as the story progresses with no real goal except for the team members to "break" that which they're fighting to overcome, such as Haruki's fear of heights.

I WANT MORE OF CHEER BOYS!
When I first came across the title and read about the first season and the reviews, I became interested. I watched the trailer on youtube and immediately made the decision to buy the DVD and it was the best decision. Stuck to the screen the whole time and replayed it a couple of times. The characters are so different from each other and in the end, all of them come together as one. All of them come from different backgrounds, shapes, and sizes and have this talent that brings them together. The whole storyline throughout the series is great and it's meaningful for those that have it different like many of us in reality.

Who Moved My Cheers?
CHEER BOYS is a motivational video disguised as entertainment; not necessarily a bad thing, but nothing to get emotionally invested in, either. What's slightly disappointing about this show is watching character types, not characters, overcoming their individual hangups to become the best version of themselves. Even the stars of this series, cheerleading squad founders and childhood friends Haru Bando and Kazu Hashimoto, remain opaque to us while another fourteen characters jostle for attention. It's sports as a metaphor for a team building exercise, packaged as a watchable but very low key drama. The funniest material, as usual, is reserved for the bonus OVA.

Fun show.
This was a great show to watch. I love anime. This was not the usual show I tend to watch but the characters and story were really great.
