The rungs spin.
The rungs SPIN. They spin freely (and they are round) which makes it nearly impossible for anyone, especially my 6 year old kiddo, to climb. She tried but her feet keep slipping off as the rungs spun. We tested it our tonight after work. She wanted to start from the top but thank goodness I made her start at the bottom because I had to rescue her from the fire escape ladder. Not to be too dramatic, she was not in much real danger, but after getting a few rungs up, sh was scared to move any further, up or down!Side note! Pay attention to the details while shopping because the rungs on this one are awfully far apart for a little kid. Kudos to my kiddo for the valiant effort she gave to get anywhere on this ridiculous ladder. Keep shopping.
