Are the blades dishwasher safe?

They are supposed to be BUT it fills up with water which will mold inside and be gross. I put it in the dishwasher top rack ONCE and mine it full of water. I tried putting it on the cup and turning it on hoping it would spin it out but nope. I don't recommend this product

No, it is corded. I think it is probably more powerful since it is not battery powered. I would highly recommend it!

Can it blend ice? Or at least crushed ice?

I had a very good experience with it. I initially tried it for smoothies and that included blending with ice. I used the stick and the blender cup. I never tried it with the chopper. It did sound very scarey and I only did that for a week before I opted for caution. It didn't have any real problems with full size ice cubes, but I would suggest something else if you were going to chop ice often. I think crushed ice would be fine.
