I've lost two jogging lights off my dog's harness in a year and needed to find something better. Time will tell, but the metal frame and hook that's is this lights foundation looks strong and durable. The spring bail would be the weak point, but it looks well designed and durable too. As long as the cover stays on, I think this might be the solution. It's bright, really good, with multi directional coverage. I can spot my dog 600+ yards away in the dark easy. Not sure about run time, but it should be a simple matter of creating a recharge habit. It is a bit larger than expected and it bothered my dog at first. I had to try a couple different spots on the harness and he would fuss over it not being right. We've settled on a location on his back and he shows no further discomfort. Glad I chose this one and I expect it will be our forever light.

This is the 2nd light we've purchased in the last 3 years. Always get a ton of compliments from other dog walkers. It's bright and makes to easy to spot your dog, and the light also lights up the ground in front of the dog to see what he's about to walk in. Only complaint is that the backing falls off so easily despite us being careful about snapping it on. Also, this light only lasted 8 months before it's not working. Now there is a strange orange indicator light when plugged in and the light won't turn on anymore unless it's plugged in. The indicator light is usually red when it is not charged, and green when it is charged. This is the first time seeing the strange orange light. And in the past when our first flight stopped working, it wouldn't charge and it wouldn't light up at all whether or not it was plugged in. Need a new one, but disappointed it won't be available for another 1.5 months. Overall, highly recommend.

Got these lights to help keep track of my dogs when we go camping. These are very well made! Metal frame, metal clip, very strong clip spring, decent battery life.

Nite Ize Rechargeable LED Dog Collar Carabiner Light (XL) INTRODUCTION This product was recommended to me by a fellow dog owner at a dog park near my home. The color-changing LED was on his completely black Great Dane. I was impressed by how visible it made his dog, especially given that we were nearing the end of dusk. He let me photograph the collar light and told me where he got it (a local hardware store). I couldn't find the light in the store, so I looked for it on Amazon. DELIVERY I bought two Nite Ize XLs, which came in a single package. Each was in its own product packaging, which served as both a container and a set of instructions. The packaging was a type of laminated cardboard that clearly outlined the product; there was little waste. It also comes with its own charging cord--a micro USB to USB A (standard). CONCLUSION The light came with some charge, but it is recommended that you fully charge it before using it. The light has a 'cycle' mode that cycles through the colors and a 'static' mode where you can select a color to stay; red, green, blue, or white. A charge will last approximately 2.5 weeks in our daily use of 30-45 minutes. However, there is no indication that the battery is low; it simply shuts down. The light is bright and visible from a long distance. It is water-resistant and suitable for wearing in the rain. This collar light is ideal for anyone who wants to be seen at night. While I would not recommend this as a sole or primary light source, it is an excellent supplement to other night walking safety precautions.

Perfect way to keep track of our dog dark brown GSP at night. Super bright! The neighbors love seeing our best boy run around our backyard at night with his light on. Charges quickly. We’ve had the same light for over a year… maybe even two. Cheaper on AMAZON than in stores.

These are bright and I love the rotating color changes. I feel much better knowing people can see my dog at night. My favorite feature is the “one click” off! Other brands don’t rotate colors and you have to click through all the color options to turn it off.

Worked great for 2 months and suddenly stopped working. **update** seller actually reached out to me and resolved the issue. Customer service I recieved deserves a updated review. These are great lights just the one I received was manufacture defect.

Stopped holding a charge after 7 weeks! Will now only work when plugged into the charger. Wasted $20!!!!

The light is nice and bright, charge lasts a long time. We have a large yard and it's easy to find our pup at night. Also great for evening walks, I feel safer knowing it makes us more visible to drivers. It can be a bit of a challenge to get it off his collar, but he hasn't lost it.

A great light for winter walks, it’s a really good size and the rubber covering makes it feel really durable. I haven’t used it in wet weather yet but I’m sure it would hold up just fine in light to moderate rain. Really pleased with my purchase and lots of other dog walkers we’ve seen have asked us where it’s from. A great little buy although a little on the expensive side, I don’t overly mind as it’s rechargeable.

Works great. Purchased as I have a black dog that is very hard to see while walking at night time. This light is very bright and larger than expected which I was pleased with as I have a larger dog so is a great size to attach to his harness.

This light is bright and hangs with a good closure system. Unlike other lights that I've had, it will not shut off if it hits the dogs tags. The battery is lasting well between charges. I haven't had to re-charge it since we purchased it. I purchased one that was delivered June 29th and then purchased a 2nd after I tried the first one. The lights aren't on for long periods at a time because I just used them when I let the dogs out at night for their last trip. I really appreciate not having to replace expensive batteries.
