These worked good to run cable signal from upstairs to a basement TV, using a Cat5 cable for the distance part.

This item worked well at first, but after about an hour of use the extended screen would suddenly go blank and after about ten seconds sometimes longer it would come back on. At first it only happened every 10 to 15 minutes but after another hour of use the screen started going blank every 1 to 2 minutes. It is very annoying when watching movies.Don't waist your money on something that hardly works.

I Have cat6 in the walls and connecting and duplicating the screen was mostly successful. Bought this gadget and it works great for what we needed and less money.
