Nicely priced solid top guitar
Samick did well to get Greg Bennet on board - and their guitars have improved no end. This is a nice concert sized guitar - decently made - with good parts - for a fraction of what you normally pay for a solid top instrument.

Very well built but needs setup
The good:This guitar is exceptional value for the money. Solid top guitars at this price point are almost unheard of. The construction of the guitar uis very good, the action is very low with no buzz whatsoever, which makes it a very good player. Frets are perfectly finished, as well as the nut and compensated saddle. The binding looks good too as well as the matte finish. The acoustic sound is balanced without being overy bright or boomy.Body size and shape resembles that of a Martin which is a good thing. The bad...Mine had the problem where the 1st string volume is very low when connected. This is because the compensated saddle makes the 1st string sit a a very low angle compared with the other strings, and so it puts almost no pressure on the saddle. It can be fixed by sawing a 45 degree slot on the bridge from the string pin to the saddle , allowing the string to go lower on the pin side. This is a 5 minute fix, but not for the faint of heart and less so on a new guitar. After this fix the guitar plays beatifully and the Fishman Isys system sounds great when connected too, I think I will be using it on gigs without any problem and with very good sound. The ugly: The headstock could be more discreet.
