Tool is good to use on any weeds in my yard. I wish I could alter its height to be able to use in my garden more. I find it difficult to use it on a hill or slope, but younger users might not have this issue. It is sturdy and works well.

I found it was not very successful at pulling up weeds, especially larger ones. But it is excellent for opening holes for planting bulbs or springing grass.

Worked pretty good, I only used it on the lawn after it rained but the blades began to bend. If a stronger steel was used this would have been perfect

I originally ordered a different brand, thinking I'd save a few bucks, then cancelled it when I realized it was mostly plastic! Went looking for a better built option and landed on this. Came in a hilariously sized box, but whatev, took it out and was on the front lawn going after crabgrass clusters within a moment. I did note what some other reviewers did, about the pinch-point when expelling the clods, but you learn pretty quick to punch it down, not press it to avoid getting pinched. Works pretty well, the soil I was in was rather loose thanks to some recent rains. Did have to get down and pull out some of the more stubborn clumps, but the tool did a good job of loosening the dirt further around them, making them easier to pull out. Ideally, this would be used before something like crab grass has the chance to get LARGE, with multiple root balls. I worked for about an hour with this, it never failed to perform as expected, I anticipate many more years of use, it is just solid and well built. Oh, and I love that the tins/teeth are steel blades, not a couple of thin piece of puny metal (like metal wire almost!) like on other brands. Nice.

I purchased this one, after having several other types that had a three prong removal system, which I really loved, but the handles on the top keep breaking. This one is all metal, and has slicing blades at the bottom, which seems to work just as well, if not better. The only reason I did not give it five stars, is because it cuts a bigger hole in the lawn then the other varieties do. Wish it had a narrower diameter. Other than that it’s great, and has helped me nearly eradicated the dandelions and cabbage weed in my yard. At least with this one, I won’t have to buy a new one every year because the others were poor quality construction.

So many weeds, heat (weather) need more time to evaluate this tool.

This tool will pull weeds from the ground but not always. You have to twist and many times it will not pull the whole weed out. It's ok, better than pulling weeds by hand. Not overwhelmed by this garden tool.

I love the easy of using. It will pull up a chunk of weed alone with the dirt creating a hole- some needing to be filled, either by shaking it off from weeder or dirt on hand.

PROS:- No need to bend down.- Rolls up some weeds like spaghetti. Pretty effective against weeds with wide-spreading roots.CONS:- Unreliable. The tool damages the root and loosens the ground around it well, but fails to consistently pull it out. Since it has no grip over the weed or its root - gravity often ensures that the weed stays in the ground and you have to finish the job by hand.- Leaves sizable holes. When the tool does manage to pull the weed out - it pulls a good chunk of soil along with it, leaving inch-wide holes everywhere. Generally this isn't a huge deal since the hole gets filled with soil after awhile. But if the weed survived - it ends up re-growing at the bottom of the hole, which makes it even more difficult to pull out.

Its easy to use and its very effective. The best part of this weedeater is that it doesnt remive a lot of grass around it. Compared to those others that have jaws. They take about a 2.5-3" chop out if ur grass around the weed. It seems well built. Heavy enough to use without worrying about damaging it. So far so good only had it for a month but we had a ton of weeds !

Does what is claimed. Lots of work if you have a big crop of dandelions, but a well designed tool for the price.

Works well. Quick and easy to use. Beats bending over and digging out weeds. My lawn is full of holes.
