ThermacellMosquito Repellent Refills, 48-Hour Pack; Discontinued by Manufacturer

I learned of this product a couple years ago and I regret not using it sooner. I have a 10x10 Patio and one didn't work (in my opinion). I was still bitten by mosquitoes. I purchased another one and both of them actually wonders. One other thing, I feel the pads do not last 4 hours. If anything they last 2 1/2 - 3 hours. As it relates to price, it is kind of expensive. Wish it was a little cheaper. Overall, I love this product!!

Living in south-central Texas, it goes without saying that summertime = mosquito time. I've been a big Thermacell fan for years now. I spend a lot of time outside, and can burn through a Thermacell pad in one evening outdoors.My only complaint is the cost of the refill kits, especially when purchased at the local big-box stores. While I wouldn't say these Amazon refill kits are "cheap", they are a better value than I've been able to find locally. The blue box is different than the green box I typically see locally, but the product is identical on the inside.There's not much more you can say about this - it's Thermacell, and it does a great job keeping mosquitoes away. I'd like to see the refill kits sell for less, but as the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for".

I love love love the Thermacell mosquito repeller. In the summer it can be darn near impossible to enjoy an evening outside without getting eaten alive. So one option you have is to surround yourself with tiki torches, which is something I think Smokey the Bear might view as a fire hazard. You could also douse yourself with mosquito repellent with all those nasty chemicals seeping into your skin.....nice thought. Thermacell is the best option I have found. I use 2 around our 8 person patio table, and those little pests dare not come close. I always make sure to have a healthy (bordering on hoarder) stock of refills on hand at any given time.

This is a great product if you have a Thermoelectric. You can't find them in the stores right now because of the high demand

Trying to avoid the deet products and having tried various sprays and lotions -- this product works well and better than most. Placed on a table while sitting outside provides adequate repelling of mosquitoes. I'm not sure how far the range of action is - but is enough for casual sitting. If you disengage the butane cylinder after use it seems to last much longer. Leaving it on the burner unit between uses seems to allow slow leakage and early depletion of the gas. Buying the cylinders and preparation tabs in bulk is fairly economical.

The best price for the best product. Already tested and no skeeters came within ten ft. Full size repellent pads and butane cartridges. All contents were fresh and factory packaged. I will buy more when I need them from here from now on if available.

....and, you might's well buy a few of these for the summer. They're priced right and the mats are effective. I really think the ThermaCell unit is by far more effective than aerosols and other repellents. While those other products have their place, the ThermaCell can't be beat for pest control when you're stationary or working on a project where movement is minimal or restricted. Very impressive. I hope it's as effective against flies as it is on mosquitoes.

I've been a mosquito magnet for all my yrs and was so disinterested on venturing outside during the summer months. I live on a river in Colorado and every year I'm at their mercy. Well a friend told me about the Thermacell repellant and I must say I haven't had one bite yet this summer. I bought the extra pads and butane cartridges because I use my repellant every time I'm outside and that is often now and I would recommend buying the extras so that you never run out.
