Pre Shave Conditioning Cream - Sandalwood Oil & Shea Butter

This is a great part of my daily shaving routine, I got into traditional wet shaving about six months ago when I decided to get a safety razor, some good blades, a brush and a shaving soap, I could see and feel the difference vs the cartridge razor and canned foam/gel I was using before (I was a Gillette man for 24 years) almost immediately... After six months, my little Van der Haagen starter soap that I bought at my local Target had run out, I needed some shaving stuff and I turned to Amazon to get what I wanted because I wanted to try something other than the soap (which was great) and, after doing some research, I decided to get some cream (Taylor of Old Bond Street Peppermint) and, just out of curiosity and to see what all the excitement was about, I also got me this cream... WOW!! I have never used a pre shave treatment before and, having tried this for the last couple of weeks, I can't understand why I didn't before, my face feels really smooth after I shave and there is no discomfort, I do shave every day (Monday thru Friday, resting on the weekend), and maybe this is only in my mind, but I feel that the more I use this stuff, the better my shave gets!! I have to say that when I got the cream tub I was a bit worried because, to me, it appeared to be rather small, but upon trying it, I realized that it is more that enough. The cream itself has a creamy, light texture and a bright color (kinda like Mother of Pearl), it features the delicious, warm, earthy, woodsy scent of sandalwood, which is a bit intense without being overbearing (and I love the way it combines with the freshness of the TOBS peppermint shaving cream), it applies very easily to my wet face (I only need a little bit of cream because it goes a long way) and, most importantly, it does and excellent job, it protects my skin and works together with the shaving cream to give me a close, silky smooth shave with no irritation... and to top it all off, the price is right!! If you're thinking about this cream, get it, you won't regret it!!....

I highly recommend the Proraso Sandalwood Pre-Shave Cream, especially if you struggle with tough facial hair. It smells great without being overpowering. More importantly, it really preps the skin and hair, allowing the razor to glide easily for a much smoother, closer shave. It works wonders on coarse beards.

Smells great. Pairs well with other Poraso products. It only takes a little. Using the pre shave, shaving cream and after shave makes for a great shaving experience. I use it to shave my head with my old school standard double edge razor. Gets a smooth shave every time!

I was really concerned about the rogue Amazon employee stealing a big finger-swipes worth of my lotion. But I was also intrigued by all the reviews claiming to be a victim of the bandit. So I took a chance. I ordered this Sandalwood scent and the original Menthol version. Low and behold, the Sandalwood jar had a large lotion hole staring at me when I opened it. I then opened the Menthol jar and it was filled to the brim. I then weighed both jars and guess what? They were exactly the same weight. I believe the issue here is the lotions have a different texture from each other. The Sandalwood is smoother than Menthol. Clearly the Sandalwood is prone to settling during shipping/handling and the Menthol is not. After that issue was resolved, I then added the Menthol to the left side of my face and the Sandalwood to the right side. I then shaved. My experience was that the shave quality was the same for both sides. After all is said and done, I prefer the Menthol over the Sandalwood. I believe the Menthol scent and texture is more rewarding to my skin and I believe that the texture allows me to use slightly less per shave than the Sandalwood. I also found the Sandalwood scent to be very subtle compared to the Menthol. I hope this helps.

I really like this pre-shave. I've been using a pre-shave oil that works well but wanted to give this a try. I like it better than the oil but both work well to help deliver a smoother shave. Simply apply it before your shave soap. I like to apply this and then whip up my soap.

The best I have had in many many years, literally . Leaves my skin feeling very nice feeling and with virtually zero razor burn. I anticipate that Proraso has a new and consistent buyer. The smell is not bad, either, it’s like an old- time barber shop type of scent which I happen to like

This product works exactly as claimed. It prepares the skin for a very smooth shaving experience. The aroma is very good, too.

Great product. A lot are using it as a post shave cream. I have used it for both pre and post shave. If I’m not using an after shave, this has a nice fragrance and is very soothing. I use the entire line of proraso shave products without complaint

Se nota mucho respecto a la blanca pero también es más cremosa y se usa más cantidad. La usado también en pieles sensibles y cumple igual que la blanca que es la específica para eso. El olor es barbería clásica, olvidaos de notas olfativas y demás referencias, huele a barbería pero no empalaga. Su olor no batalla contra el jabón, el gel o el aftershave

I received the jar and some cream from the jar is missing . Not nice .
