Universal Sunshade Rainshade Camera Cover Shield for Outdoor Nest/Nest IQ Camera - Coffee

Installed this cover shield to protect from sun damage and for water spots on the lens. The cameras are water protected by themselves but wanted to get additional protection. These covers are very sturdy and the material is much thicker than I thought. The molded plastic is very good and mounting was very easy considering it was stucco. I needed to drill holes with a masonary drill bit but other than that it mounted easily. The foam gasket is also very effective and seals the cover great against the wall. I'm very happy with this cover because the color matches my house trim and it looks very professional. I will be buying more of these for more of my other cameras.

The color

It's a sturdy shade that will last and will protect my security camera outside. It protects the camera from the elements, starting with rain and hail. It will protect the camera from excessive high temperature as well since the sun does not hit the camera anymore. Definitely covers good enough to fit the nest outdoors cameras and any other brand with small cameras. Enjoy!

Great item for my nest camera. Provided wonderful shade and it was super easy to install. I chose one that was brown and it blended in beautifully with my back deck.

This is a great camera shield. I have Nest Outdoor and I didn't want to subject it to constant sun/rain and this totally fit the bill. The plastic is very thick and sturdy and will last a long time. It has a good amount of coverage to keep the camera dry and cool. Mounting took about 3 minutes (and the part that took the longest was deciding the height!). One thing to keep in mind is that you don't want to have the camera too far recessed into the cover or you'll lose the top part of your picture.

I bought this shield to protect a camera that was installed in an exposed area. It nicely protects the camera without inhibiting the video. The shield comes with a gasket. sealing the contact area. This was a nice feature as it was installed in weather too cold for caulking.
