I'm reallly skeptical of herbal supplements for most things. I had been pursuing an all-of-the-above approach for hair loss for about a year including caffeine shampoo, occasional topical (not oral) finasteride/rapamycin combo, and I had found I was maintaining or seeing very slight improvement in hair thickness. Ran across the study for "BeauTop" in humans and decided to try it. I must be an outlier because I felt like the improvement was noticeable within 3 weeks. I thought to myself, this really can't be working this well, did some more research, and found this study (abstract I'll post below). In short, this actually seems to lead to noticeable increased thickness for me.Interesting study (in animals):"Minoxidil and finasteride have been approved to treat hair loss by the Food and Drug Administration. However, the further elucidation of treatments for hair loss, including those using Chinese herbal medicine, remains important clinically. BeauTop (BT) is a health food supplement which contains Ginseng radix, Astragali radix, Radix Angelicae sinensis, Ligustri fructus, Rehmannia glutinosa and Eclipta prostrata (Linn). Susbsequent to oral administration of BT at 0.6 g/kg/day to wax/rosin‑induced alopecia in C57BL/6 mice, BT significantly induced hair growth at day 8 compared with control treatment (P<0.05). The expression levels of epidermal growth factor (EGF), and fibroblast growth factor (FGF)‑7 were increased compared with control animals on day 8. In contrast, levels of FGF‑5 of the BT group were reduced compared with the control on day 12. There were no effects on the expression of insulin‑like growth factor 1. The results demonstrated that the mechanism of BT improving alopecia is potentially associated with modulation of EGF and FGF‑7 levels. Primal Hair...i'm hoping to finally find a cure or treatment to the hair loss that has plagued me. The bottle looks and feels legitimate; I have come across some hair supplements that are so poorly packaged and are riddled with typos. Primal Hair comes with 120 pills which equates to 4 pills per day that can be taken with or without food. I have no quarrels with the taste of the pills, so they're easily ingested and leave no aftertaste, nor do i burp up any residual flavors like I would with fish oil pills. I have been taking the product for almost a month, and have noticed lessened hair loss towards the back of my head, which is a good start. According to the product review, I should start seeing some increased hair growth by the 2-3 bottle, so i have a bit of a ways to go. The price is slightly steep, however, as the saying goes "you get what you pay for," so I don't mind spending a little extra, especially for vanity. Additionally, i have been having a bit of a boost of energy throughout my day, which i'd attribute to the product. Anyhow, overall pleased with the product so far and will be ordering my 2nd bottle soon to keep up the progress!

I have not noticed any thicker or more hair growth with these supplements.

We bought this product on the recommendation of our chiropractor. It's taken about 6 months, but the hair is coming in. Fingers crossed that it keeps on coming.

I took these for four days and was feeling increasingly queasy as the days went on. I checked the contents of the product and wasn't familiar with the herbal ingredients on the label. Once I stopped using it, I felt fine and can only assume it didn't agree with me. I wish I'd done a better investigative job before purchasing.

I used this product for 2 months. I didn't see much growth in my length BUT it totally got thicker and fuller and I had to trim my ends twice where I usually only trim them maybe once every 2-3 months. So I definitely see a difference. I just would've liked to see more actual length grown but the product does state a 3 month promise before seeing significant change. I'll update after I do that.These pills are actually amazing! I was a bit surprised by how quickly I saw a difference. I hesitated writing a review right away because I wanted to actually notice a difference. I've noticed my hair strands are much stronger, appear to be longer and thicker. Spots where my hair has been balding and thinning are coming back to life. I have very fine, thin hair so the effects were immediately noticeable. I have been taking Biotin supplements for a number of years and have never gotten results like this! I recently repurchased another two bottles and will faithfully continue to use them. Great product! I just hope they never change the formula.

been losing hair like crazy and have tried different supplements and prescriptions for two years and very aggressively since last year. I was losing 30-50 hairs/day for years and last year an average of 200-300 in one shower alone...Yup, I was collecting them to show my doctor. I had hairs all over the house...they were clogging my sinks, vacuum cleaner and was shedding hairs even while brushing my teeth. The doctors keep saying it's just part of aging. What?My acupuncturist recommended this to me at $55/bottle but found it in Amazon at a much cheaper price. I have now taken it for 4 months and now losing an average of 40 hairs in the shower AND tiny hairs are now growing. No more clogging in my sink. Will continue to take in for 3 more months and will report if the positive result reverses.

I was waiting to use it for a long period to see if works, had not notice any improvement on my hair.
