NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED!
This is perfect for my one-person household, and is easy to roll in the included cradle. The only assembly needed was to slide the door on. It was in the bin when it arrived. It was not too heavy for me to move and set up, either. I'm in my 80's.

Perfect size and so easy to use.
This is perfect size and no set up! I have an above ground garden and this one will be so much easier to empty. I compost vegetable and fruit scraps and coffee grounds, so I don’t need a huge compost bin. It’s light weight and doesn’t take much room.

Batting 50-50 so far
To date, I've ordered 2 of the HOTFROG half size rolling composters. I think the design is genius - it's simple with no assembly, compact, no strong plastic odors, and there is no central axle to sag or break under weight. The first one I got with the green cover was great so I ordered a second one with a blue cover. On the second unit, the cover would not fit on without gorilla strength and then was stuck on. So far I've spend an hour sanding and dremeling down the bin and the cover kind of fits now. Not super happy with that - needs better quality control. I swapped lids and found the black bin has the issue not the lid. Otherwise great product that arrives on time.

Easiest assembly ever!
Let’s just say the setup took as long as opening the box it came in, less then 10 seconds. All you have to do to assemble is slide the door in and set it on the base. If you don’t want to waste time with tons of screws that could be a weak point then this is the right tumbler for you, there is no worry of anything rusting over time an falling apart. What I also think is great will be having the ability to roll it around my garden so I can just take handfuls out to spread around plants. Pros: no real assembled, no metal stand that will rust, sturdy, and it has built in groves that act as hand holds plus aid in turning the compost. Cons: none at this time. Update July 2019. Liked the first one so much bought another this time with the blue lid. It has done well to compost quickly. It was convenient to roll around the yard to each spot I want to use the compost. Trick to get this to compost quickly is to make all your materials super small. One thing I did notice if a want to be picky is with the small holes on the sides you do have some material that comes out, but I don’t take issue since it needed fresh air.

Great small sized composter. Simple design.
Easy to use small sized composter, perfect for our little garden. You need to follow the general rules for adding the right mixture of dry and ‘wet’ compost for best results. It doesn’t smell at all and is holding up well.

Nice size. Terrible door
I love the size of it. The problems are the door is loose with a large gap. Compost flies out when you turn it. I suppose I will try to use a heat gun but likely it will not help.

Super easy composter for novices
I've got two of these, and am buying a third. This is the first composter I've ever owned, and don't see a need to get anything else. It's simple, and the original has worked for me for almost two years already. It's survived Florida summers and is still working great! Don't expect it to make a huge amount of compost. It's small, but that's fine by me. That makes it easy for me to move it where I need to. I can put in my household scraps (NO animal products - unless you want critters trying to get into it), and mix it well with "brown" materials (like toilet paper rolls, paper towels that have been used to sop up water only, and um, Amazon boxes and packaging....). I roll it around every other day, and squirt it with the hose to keep it moist (don't sog it up, a little squirt will do ya.) Keep doing that, even after you fill it up. Be patient, keep rolling and keep it moist, and you will be rewarded with homemade brown gold! Once you have your compost, then you can take the roller off the stand, and roll it right where you need it. This is terrific if you don't want the hassle of dumping it into a wheelbarrow and hauling it to your garden or yard. I shovel it right on my Earth boxes and grow bags, and then wheel it back. I leave a little compost in there as a "starter", and get ready to make my next batch. I'm happy, my plants are happy, and I don't have to worry about something breaking on this. Couldn't ask for more.

Worth the money for sure.
I’m new at this but it’s most interesting. I’ve used it all summer long and it’s only half full. No assembly was great. No liquid leaks out unless you turn it completely upside down which I don’t. It sits quite conveniently on my back deck. Thought I’d have to move it in the hot summer months but I didn’t. There were days I could smell it, but not bad. I think I made the right purchase.

Small but does the job.
Small -- wouldn't work well for large amounts of yard waste, but I use primarily for food waste. So far, have gotten away with a fall and spring emptying. The sliding door does have a tendency to freeze up in the winter, however -- I quite often had to use something to hammer it open (that said, the frozen plastic didn't crack with the abuse I submitted it to). The only major downside is it is not easy, and very messy to get the compost out of the composter. Basically, you have to lift the composter up and shake the contents out of the small opening. After the initial enthusiasm, I tend not to roll it too often, and likely not enough.
