This us a beautifully quick story with little fluff. Which I love!Our girl is fun and complicated without being terrible to herself. I love her natural confidence and mannerisms.She gets the job done. Bonus, she finds her one true mate but it’s complicated.

Very interesting story line and I loved the characters. The characters were so much fun. This is a great YA novel thst anyone can enjoy.

This was a god start go a fantastic series! It was filled with witches and magic, as dark as fae - both good and evil.

This was a good story. I was initially drawn in by the plot. This is my first novel by Linsey Hall. The first meeting of Meri and Tarron was intense. They had good chemistry from the start. It kept me intrigued enough to keep turning the page. I liked Meri's house especially the details regarding entrance to the pool and secret apartments. I also enjoyed hearing about the entrance to the fae kingdom. My biggest concern with this book is that it felt rushed. Everything happened quickly with little explanation and some things I would have liked to hear more about. My favorite thing about this book is Meri's disguise. On the average day she dons revealing clothing, wears a mask of make up, and goes by Mordaca. Her disguise consists of no makeup, average clothing, and the name Mari. I found this very poignant in the matter of self love. Mari is going to see her potential mate in her truest form. This is a short book and felt more like a novella read because of it. The ending was intense enough that I will pick up the next one to continue Mari and Tarron's story.

Glad to see the developing of Mari. She seemed so overshadowed in the other series. I now understand that was Aeri's story. Great characters.

Quick fun read!!!! Reality intercede too much to really enjoy this, but that is obviously not the novel/authors fault lol it is the 3 year old & 18 month old! That’s okay kids are no joke not even mine yet I’m the 24/7 auntie as their parents are busy working so yeah covid definitely has changed lots of things this year!! My lack of dedicated reading time has been severely impacted! Oh well we help out family when need right!Looking forward to the sequel! LOVED the characters & the overall storyline!! The kick butt heroine & hero chemistry was fun! It’s not memorable enough to stick in head even with busy AF reality so that’s why it’s only a 4 stars! Definitely recommend this novel & author to everyone!!!!!

Wooh girl, what a series opener!!! Action packed! Our main character is a badass and I can’t wait to see how her heritage plays out in the upcoming book, as well as what this means for her and Tarron. This book does end on a cliffhanger because it’s a series, but the series is completed thankfully.Our main character is a rare dragon blood and will do anything to keep that a secret. She’s also a demon slayer who is sent to the fae realm to investigate a dark energy they are sensing. Turns out, the one they have suspicions of is her fated mate, though they plan to ignore the bond. In this book our girl goes through trials but her ultimate goal is to destroy the dark magic, while trying to ignore her fated mate and keep her secret AND find out what other lineage she has from her mothers side.Super interesting story that hooked me from the beginning. I’m ready to see things heat up between our main characters though. Off to the next I go!

I was waiting to read the Mordaca story when she played a helping sorceress in the shadow guild series and that was long back and to read in sequence I now landed in here to Mari world. As expected it's a tremendous start ♥️😍😍

This story leads us to incredible scenarios, while presenting the main characters. If you are looking for an adventurous narrative, fast paced, including mystery, this is the book.

A great story! Can’t wait to read the rest in the series. The characters are so real and conflicted. Mari’s story is fresh and new but all the previous chapters are along for the ride so it’s also familiar.Love this author!

As I said Not only could I not put it down I had to read Tarrons story also and really felt quite sorry for them both unrequited love and all that. It was HOT but not disgusting as some books can be. I have already bought books two and three and as I'm sitting here at 4a.m awaiting a heating engineer I will read the books and get all the best I need . 5 star rating I have followed your books before I even knew you'd name now I wait keenly for each new book. Terribly naughty of me but at 64 years old with stage 4 cancer I figure I'm allowed my little indulgencies. Thankyou for keeping an old lady happy.

Great start to another series. Love everything this author writes.
