Works as expected
This capacitor worked perfectly. I replaced it myself after ordering on Amazon and saved hundreds on a repair call. Super easy swap and my AC is running like new again. If you’re into DIY, this is a must-have.

Works Fine.
Works as advertised and a good value. The size didn't fit my application so I had to get a different one (my bad). But I can still use it as a backup if I need to.

Easy Replacement on 2017 Trane XR16
Very happy with this purchase, and for the cost, I will have a spare cap on-hand as an "insurance" policy. I cannot speak to longevity, thus the 4-star rating.--I noticed that the AC unit would "click" to start, but that the condenser fan wouldn't spin. A quick bit of research and some youtube videos pointed to a bad a capacitor. I found the capacitor swollen and rusty, high probability that it failed. With limited time to order for overnight delivery, for the low cost of the cap, ongoing days of 90 degree temps, and uncertainty of when my repair guy would be able to stop by, I ordered this cap and it arrived overnight before 10 AM. Thank you, Prime!Installation was simple and it solved the problem immediately. The form factor of the original cap was like a skinny, 12oz beer can, and the new one is like a standard 12oz can, so I had to tweak the mounting - no big deal.FWIW, I still had the repair guy come out because it had been several years since I had the system checked-over, and I wanted to make sure that there were no other problems. The failed cap was the root cause of the problem.

Cheap insurance if you're handy.
I live in SWFL. It's warm here a lot of the time. Really warm. Two years ago, I had my HVAC unit's capacitor die on a Saturday afternoon in July. The closest replacement cap I could find was at an ACE Hardware twenty miles away. I'm fine, but overheated wife was getting more miserable by the minute, so off I go to buy the only 45/5 cap available on Saturday in the county. Ninety minutes later, our Goodman unit was once again blowing that sweet, cold air.Not wanting to be caught without a spare capacitor again, I bought this one on Amazon and put it on the shelf in the garage. Fast forward two years to today. It's just after five o'clock and I'm walking into the house after doing some maintenance on the sailboat motor, not a pleasant place in this heat. It's 95 degrees in the Florida sunshine and as I walk past the thermostat in the living room, I notice that it's a few degrees over the setpoint. No, that never happens, so I walk outside and place my hand over the condenser fan. The air blowing from the fan.......It's not hot. I can't hear the compresor running, either. Wife hasn't even noticed yet, but I know the A/C is broken.Checked the garage and this capacitor was just where I put it two years ago. I killed the power to the unit, discharged the old cap, swapped out the leads and secured the new one in place. Ten minutes max. Flipped the breaker, waited a few minutes and heard the lovely sound of our compressor kicking on....... and now I'm a hero. I tested the old cap, and the 45 side tested out at 40. The fan side was solid at 5. In the trash it goes.I'm back here at Amazon to buy another one to sit on that vacant place on the garage shelf. The one I bought from ACE only lasted two years. Hopefully, this one will last longer. If you know what you're doing, this part it the one most likely to fail and probably the easiest part to replace on your A/C unit. This part, purchased two years ago, probably saved us a $300 service call to replace that part.If you don't know what you're doing, trust me, you can get a nasty shock from these things. Call a service tech.
