I bought this and stitched it as a present for my partner's mother, she was delighted bless her, earned some brownie points there! She hung it up in her kitchen as shown.I modified the design a bit (I do this quite often with kits, the original design of this kit is lovely but the hearts started looking like strawberries to me lol) needless to say it drastically reduced the stitching time which was a bonus! I just replaced the hearts with randomly placed snowflakes.The amount of thread in this kit is very generous, as long as you don't stitch whole squares in one go. Stitch the different direction diagonals separately. Still have lots of thread left, and not just of the red threads.Overall, I estimate that I spent about 48+ hours stitching over lots of sittings, include procrastination time in that haha.The ONLY inconvenience, with this was the dimensions. You can't put this in standard sized frames without it looking funny (or without modifying the design, which I wasn't prepared to do as it would've looked silly); so if you want to frame this, 99% you'll need a custom size frame made, but it is worth it!
