If you buy PJ KABOS Extra Virgin Olive OIl from Amazon in the tin, you’ll save money. When I ordered a 16.9oz tin of PJ KABOS Medium, it was $11 cheaper for the same amount of oil in a bottle! NOTE: The PJ KABOS olive oil that comes in a bottle is certified organic. Their oil in a tin is not. I emailed [email protected] and they answered within hours: “The oil is very similar. Both are clear from pesticide residue but only the glass bottles have the organic certificate. The certificate just has to do with the specific fields where the olives are harvested, but the quality of both oils is very close.” Additionally the tins say: No preservatives, no additives and totally unrefined. Obtained directly from olives without the use of chemicals. I was concerned the tin might be tricky to open and messy to pour. There’s an illustration in the FAQ section of the PJ KABOS website that answers the question, “How do I open the tin of PJ KABOS Extra Virgin Olive Oil?” My first pour from the full can was 1 Tablespoon measured into a small shot glass. There wasn’t a drop of oil anywhere but in the intended glass! The plastic spout has a screw top so there's no need to transfer the oil into another container after opening. The tin was packed in box inside of a box so it arrived in pristine condition. The harvest dates and best by dates were as stated on Amazon. The oil is grassy, peppery and bitter, which is what you’d expect for high polyphenol extra virgin olive oil… or so I’m told!

This is the best olive oil I've found at this price point. It's a good choice for dishes where the oil's flavor is a main component. It's delicate, but definitely adds richness and has excellent mouth feel.

Very good flavor, looking forward to using this product. My som downed 1 tbsp and started to cough, gag due to its strong peppery content. I instead slowly savored the olive oil a bit at a time and that peppery component didn't bother me at all. It is delicious. I can hardly wait to us on egged, meat, veggies and other foods

The only olive oil I will ever buy!

Good olive oil but the can needs a better dispenser. It always has oil accumulated on the counter under it even if I wipe thoroughly after use. The taste of the oil is unique but the stainless can’s raised lip works against a clean flow. I’m going to decant.

THE BEST!! I love this olive oil! I guess I’ve never known the difference between one olive oil or the other, but when I had to stop using butter, I bought several different olive oils to see which I liked best. Hands down, this is it! It has a smooth very pleasant taste, not harsh at all. Plenty of body but not overwhelming. I buy it all the time. Plus, the packaging is fantastic. Stay fresh longer than most

I recently decided to transition myself to a more Mediterranean type of diet. Naturally, I began by searching for a high quality extra virgin olive oil. Let me say first that I am NOT an olive oil connoisseur. I've always used olive oil in my salads and to cook with, but never payed attention to quality. I needed to do some reading about what to look for in a quality olive oil. I learned it's the polyphenols (antioxidants) that give extra virgin olive oil one of it's main health benefits. Polyphenols give olive oil the 'bite' you feel it in the back of your throat. These polyphenols are sensitive to light and time. Fresher olive oil is better and light protection is a must. That led me to PJ Kabos. I read the reviews for this olive oil here on Amazon and decided to give it a try. The oil arrived in an opaque container and the pour spout is fabulous. No dripping and pours nice. All of that is appreciated, however, even my untrained senses couldn't believe how fresh the aroma is of this olive oil and the incredible taste. It has that polyphenol bite in your throat, too! Exactly the quality I was looking for in an olive oil. I mix it with a bit of balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper for a delightful dressing on my greens. It's also divine on Caprese salad! This will be my go-to brand moving forward. I'm looking to try their Family Reserve olive oil next.
