VERONES 40 PACK Mason Jars, 4 OZ Canning Jars Jelly Jars With Regular Lids

I love these jars. A few of the jars came with double lids and they bent when taking them off. I don't care. The lids are cheep and most of the lids came perfect. I don't use the lids they come with anyway cuz after a while they rust. I got reusable plastic ones I ordered offline. I love that these jars are the same size as regular mason jars. I use my white lids for both. You get a lot of jars and I use them every day. They hold up both to temperatures in the fridge and freezer. The food stays fresh every time. I use them for baby food and will continue to use them as the years go on. They are the perfect size. Little but holds a good amount. About 4 ounces each. I bought them months ago and every one is holding up! A must buy! Can't find jars like this anywhere else! And the price is great!!! I will buy again! A must buy! Thank you!

I checked multiple thrift shops for canning jars and was disgusted to find their prices for canning jars were $1 without the lid and ring! They even had a quart glass spaghetti jar for $1! The kind of jar that I don't reuse since I put those jars in our recycling! So, I looked on Amazon and found these wonderful jars! I had prompt delivery...so glad since the peppers from the garden couldn't wait to be picked and processed! I love the labels and these pretty jars. Friends, family, and my students' families that I tutor will be receiving an assortment of organic jams and jellies using produce from our garden, a local farm, and wild blueberries/huckleberries from the PNW for Christmas. I'm going to order some more in the 8oz size for apple pie jelly, pickling quail eggs, etc. The nice quality jars come in a cushioned box that I will use for storing the jars until I wrap them up in gift boxes.

I wasn't sure about these after reading some not so glowing reviews but with a tight budget and spring berries coming in fast and furious I thought I'd give them a go. I used the lids and rings that came with them as an experiment to see if I'd have a negative outcome like some other reviews spoke about. They canned up perfectly! I've only done water bath method so far, but will update when I use my pressure canner. Some reviews mentioned that they didn't hear the traditional *ping* when lids seal, but I heard every single one. The only thing I can think is that most ball/ker lids don't need to be boiled first before use anymore, but with these being an off brand I didn't skip that step. Paid off as all 20 that I've used sealed successfully. If you are looking for a decent price for some new jars, don't pass this by. Oh and the rings are a little stiff to screw on, but all 40 sat well for me.

The jars are heavy and a good product for storage/lotions; however I wouldn’t recommend for canning. The lids don’t fit securely. The packaging also is less than desirable. One jar was broken and jars did not ship securely in their position. That being said, they serve my needs well since I am not using them for canning.

This is my second order after ordering a 12 jar package from a similar vender same product. This one did not come with the marker to write on the labels, buy everything about the product works great. The box did come a bit damaged, which could be hard to keep in the box if that is your plan. I use them to store sand/water/shells from various beaches I've visited and the tight seal has kept water in well for over 7 years so far in a cool dry place.

These ended up being really wonderful jars for the price. The first time I used them I wasn’t sure because my lids didn’t seal right. Turns out I wasn’t waiting long enough for them to seal after cooling. Tried again and it was perfect. I also like how compact they are for jams. It’s cuter to give as gifts. Nobody wants to dig in the same big jar for months. I would buy again and plan to when I need more!

These containers are lovely and do not have writing on the lids making perfect gift jars. I use them for jello or pudding deserts and with tight lids travel well to picnics and parties. Eliminates scooping and mess. Everyone gets their own desert. Works wonderful for layered deserts too. A must have.

I wanted to wait until I got to use these jars before I made a review. I make a lot of jam (about 12 natches) each fall and the cost of jars can add up really fast. I purchased 2 of these, so had 80 of these jars. All arrived fine, they were well packed and nothing was broken. All the lids screwed onto the jars fine when filled. While processing the filled jars in hot boiling water, about 5% of the jars popped their lids - it wasn't the lid that failed, but seems to be the threads on the lid ring that failed. - causing the lid to blow off the jars. This is frustrating because it takes a lot of water and time to bring a large pot of water to a boil, and after a jar top blows off, the entire pot of water needs to be replaced and brought to a boil (very time consuming). The 80 jars made 4 batches of jam, and these blown-off lids resulted in me pouring out and refilling the processing pot 3 times. In the end, about 10% of the jars did not seal. I have never had a problem with lids sealing in the past. Maybe these are great for crafts or ingredients that don't require processing in boiling water, but I don't think I will purchase again - certainly not for jam.
