I used a whole bag (and it's a nice bag full). So far I've noticed my ankles and fingers and knees have less swelling. I think it's helped a lot, otherwise I wouldn't have continued using it. It doesn't taste good unless you enjoy a radish-y green flavor with a slight burn sensation at the back of your throat,lol. I mix a spoon into half a glass with very hot tap water and stir, let it sit a few minutes, then stir and chug before swigging my coffee as a reward. It has a hard time soaking water so hot works best for me. I think getting it over with on an empty stomach is better and works better. I'm on my second bag, so it isn't that bad, weighed against the flavor, the results are worth it for me. I've lost weight, too.
