Crayola Pip Squeaks Marker Set, 50 Washable Markers, Gift for Kids

If you're looking for a marker set with a great and unique color selection these markers will fit the bill. First of all, these are mini markers, hence the fitting name of 'Pip-Squeaks'. Each marker measures just over 4 inches with the cap on. They're small enough and light enough that you can color for a long time without straining your hand. The colors are vibrant, washable, and best of all they don't bleed through unless you're coloring on really thin paper. The telescoping tower is a great idea for easy access of colors and storage. I can see that it might be difficult for children to use without supervision since the tower needs to be locked into place by twisting the top counterclockwise to lock into place. Even then, if jiggled, knocked into, or on an unstable surface it can collapse...however, the markers do stay in place. I also purchased the telescoping crayon tower and it functions pretty much the same way. The only two gripes I have is that the markers come in the tower in no particular color order, so if you're like me and need your colors organized you will have to do this yourself. Second, there are so many shades of teals and greens, but there are only a few shades of yellows and purples. I could have done without a couple of the greens for a more diverse selection of yellow and purple. Be that as it may, this is still a fantastic marker set to add to my art supplies and it's definitely worth the $20. Plus, it looks really cool on my desk!

Pip-Squeaks are wonderful and my 6 yr old and I both enjoy using them to draw. I often give them as last minute gifts with some drawing pads and other art supplies and the child receiving it always has a great reaction. There was nothing better as a kid than a new set of Crayola's in a ton of colors - I'm now a Mom and still can't resist a big rainbow of colors in a cool carrying case. PROS: The markers are short (thus the PipSqueak label) so kids are more likely to hold them properly which is great for handwriting and fine motor skills. Lots of great colors so kids are less likely to fight over the blue (since there are many). A nice case that makes it easy to see if any are missing when cleaning up. The case is also great for storage and carrying from place to place. CONS: The "telescoping" feature doesn't really work, it collapses occasionally but it's not necessary to use the product, so no big deal. **My grade for durability received 4 stars instead of 5 because of the case, not the markers.

These markers are great for little hands that have trouble with their grip. The shortness of the marker is what helps with grip as it forces the hand to grip further down toward the tip. As far as the case goes, the lid is usless but the middle can be pulled up for easier access to the middle markers. My kiddo loves that part. The colors are not always true to the color of the lid and the color name can be difficult to read on the lighter markers, for instance, white on light yellow, but the colors are all very vibrant. The markers are smoothe to use and the tips are durable. My kid tends to push hard while voloring and they're holding up well.

I love these for my 7 and 3 year old girls who go through markers fast!!! I actually liked that the colors repeated some. We got a lot of girly color repeats, a big hit with the girls. One marker was dry so I wouldn’t gift these unless the person wouldn’t mind the possibility although I did get the open box version which was much cheaper so that may have been a factor. Looking at these other reviews., does your kid really need 64 different colors? Aren’t kids overwhelmed with choices as it is? Will purchase again

We already like Pipsqueak markers for our kids (easy for them to hold, wash from most surfaces). This package is nice because there are so many colors to choose from. The case that everything come in could be used to store the markers, especially if your kids are older-elementary-aged (most toddlers and preschoolers are too hard on cardboard for long-term storage). We like having extras of some colors---if you are wondering which colors are repeated, here is a list. There are two markers each of the following 14 colors: -cherry red -orange butterfly, golden nugget -canary yellow, little lemon -baby lime, leaf green, sea horse green -rain drop blue, blue jay, blue berry blue -grape -petite rose, polka dot pink

We take these markers and divide them into three sets. I place one set on each art table. Sure the colors are not identical in each set, but they are close enough. Only issue is the set only has one black marker... i wish there was a way to just buy a pack of black markers since its what runs out the fastest. We buy these markers because they are short enough and wide enough for use with little ones. It also helps them learn to write when they don't have the dexterity to press firmly down onto the page with a pencil. However, these seem to dry out too quickly in our desert climate. Which means plastic markers are being thrown out constantly and that is plastic just stacking up in the landfill. So though we like these markers, I don't think this is a good long term choice.

I can't say enough good things about this marker set. I am in love with it. I bought it for my daughter for Christmas and they are the perfect size for a three year old. They don't wear out quickly either, she uses them every day and we are going on three months of use. I love the wide variety of colors and the three tier case they come with. Awesome purchase, I will be buying more of these sets for gifts!

I purchased the Crayola Tower November 2011, for my three granddaughters. They visit quite often and love to do arts and crafts. I keep the markers upside down in the tower, and they are only now starting to dry out. I also place a rubber band around the two halves of the lid in the up position to keep it from constantly falling. I placed four 1/4" binder clamps on the plastic fins of the second row, that divide the markers into sections. The clamps keep the tower from collapsing. The clamps are small enough not to be in the way, when taking the markers out or putting them back in. The girls always look forward to using it, and are good about clean up.

My son loves these. Vibrant colours and Extremely helpful collapsible tower to house them all.

This is an amazing bargain. First one was lost in the post, but once I contacted the seller, they were brilliant with replying and sent another one which got here with no problems. You can't go wrong with Crayola products, and are the best kids pens by far (said the same years ago when I was a kid and used them ;) !) will order again if I ever need to. Very very happy with them :)
