BIODUDE Live Terrarium Moss - Natural Pillow Moss

When I ordered this moss, I had no idea what to expect. As I live in a very warm area of the USA, I fastidiously tracked the package to make sure it was not in my mailbox too long. When it arrived, I immediately retrieved it from the street. The package was light but pretty large, about 4x6x8 inches. I opened it and saw the most beautiful green, lush moss through the clear box front! Excitedly, I opened it and removed moss for what seemed forever because, although it was in 4 pieces, the pieces were really large! The moss smelled very fresh, and it was very clean, with beautiful tendrils rising above its surface. I pulled out a large rectangular plastic food bin (a short rectangular one about 12x8 inches) and lay the moss down: I had to overlap the pieces just a bit innorder to get them in the container. I poured a large bottle of spring water over the moss to give it a drink. The moss immediately sprang into shape, and I can hardly wait to create my terrariums tomorrow! The quality of this moss is absolutely the highest, and it is definitely durable moss because it endured the mailing process to my home. The price is well below what I feel I was going to have to pay. There is so much moss here that it is a huge value for the money. Now I know that I can buy more supplies from this seller with confidence! I posted an UNTOUCHED photo of it so you can see how beautiful it is. I did NOT retouch that photo!

This arrived all bashed up and half opened with bits of brown moss falling out and I panicked! But I blame Amazon for all that. However the vendor told me to soak this moss in water and once I did that I was so impressed! It’s green and bushy and beautiful! It’s also a lot so be ready for mega moss projects! I used it for my terrariums but I have a lot left over!

This moss is great. This the second time I have purchased moss from Bio Dude. I’m very happy with my first purchase and this purchase looked fantastic from the time I opened the package. A few minutes after I misted it looked like it was fresh from the ground. I will be buying again from Bio Dude!

Purchased for our terrariums. It came all dried out and I was certain it was dead. But soaked it good (in distilled water) and put it in 3 terrariums and it sprung back to life. Been going strong for 4 months now and looks great. High quality product and very pleased.

The moss is alive and it looks good but no instructions included on its care/use. Received on large sheet and two smaller clumps that I transferred into plastic containers because the box arrived crushed. Looking forward to using it in my first terrarium!

The moss came dry, I'm assuming that was intentional to preserve it while shipping. I left it in some water over night and it was healthy, fluffy and green the next morning. Yes, it comes with some organic debris/pieces of wood on the bottom, not a big deal, but I was BLOWN AWAY that I didn't spot A SINGLE insect or living creature on the moss. Good moss, I would like to buy more from this supplier and check out their other types of moss.

I guess I got a bottom of the barrel piece. Not really that great of quality in all the pieces, Some of it looks nice with thick long hair pieces some of it does not. Not sure if this was worth $15. I might be returning it.

When it comes to ordering live moss online, I always hold my breath waiting to see if it arrives alive (and how much you get for the price.) I’m happy to report that it was very green when it arrived, and still is! In fact, it puffed up on its own after being placed into the terrariums and thoroughly misted for the first time. It’s a lot of moss for the price, too. You can tell by the simple no-frills paper box it comes in that it’s picked fresh, unlike something that’s preserved and vacuum packed. I didn’t submerge any of the moss in water before planting but fortunately I haven’t noticed any unwanted hitchhiking critters coming from it. Thanks for the generous portion, TheBioDude!
