The Foxfire Thunder River Gear Passport Shirt is made from 100% brushed cotton and comes in two colors (British Khaki and Stone). It has shoulder epaulettes, two button closure pockets and two zipper closure pockets. The left chest zipper pocket is deep enough for an airline ticket and the right zipper pocket is deep enough to hold you passport securely.

It's Cotton! 100% Cotton!
Why five stars? I received it yesterday and wore it for the first time today.1. I never, ever, never wear a shirt without washing it to remove the sizing or whatever they put on the fabric. I wore this shirt without washing it. Guess there is a first time for everything.2. It fit. I'm 6', 220 lbs and need 36" sleeves, not an off the shelf kind of guy. The XL actually worked for me, but I haven't washed it yet3. Light enough for summer, fabric is about the weight of a summer weight BDU, but there is no rip stop. Comparable to the Field and Stream poplin shirt Field & Stream Original Outfitters Brushed Poplin Long Roll up Sleeves Shirt Small Mountain Khaki I live near Pensacola, FL and work on tennis courts, so I'm out in the sun for hours a day, I learned in the Persian Gulf region you need a light colored long sleeve shirt preferably cotton. It did soak through with sweat but that is what cools you. Today was a cloudless day with a high temperature today of 89F, a heat index in the low 90s, humidity at 70%, and wind below 5 mph. On a sunny relatively windless day I was never uncomfortable in this shirt. Best of all I didn't get the funky BO a shirt made of manmade fibers. What I don't like about this shirt...um...this is really surprising to me...nothing! Stand by I still have to wash it. I'll give it a month and update.June 2, 2018; still love this shirt It has shrunk very little and still comes to the heal of my 36" arms. Another what I like, zippered pockets are deep enough to hold a Samsung Galaxy S8 plus in a wallet.Found one area for improvement, small buttons on shirt pockets take extra effort to use.Feb 20, 2020; Still love this shirt. The sleeves finally shortend due to washing so I just ordered the XL long. It is a bit baggy but the sleeves will not get too short on me.

Sharp looking, lots of pockets, and rugged.
I have had this shirt for about a year. It is practically indestructible. It is made of a heavy cotton material, and the overall construction is very sturdy. I have heard this style described as a "travel shirt" because of the generous sized zip pockets across the chest. These are plenty big enough for your wallet, Passport, keys, whatever you need to keep secure. It also has two regular shirt pockets for your cell phone, glasses, And other items that you might need immediate access to. The shoulder epaulets give it a "military" look Which a lot of people seem to like. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with my investment.

It's not a heavy weight mareial but it is made well.
I really like the style of the shirt. It's sometime a guess at whether a large is a large or some what smaller or larger. I got lucky because it fits just right. The tail is a little longer than I like but I will tuck it in. I am 5'11" tall and a 180 lbs. if that helps you decide. The pocket are attached only at the openings ( top) but that is the way a safari shirt is made. It is made of a lighter weight material that my Cabela's Safari shirt which makes it a little cooler for warm weather. I hope this help anyone trying to decide.

Over the years I have tried many a safari shirt / outdoor travel shirt, and this one is better than average.
I do a lot of traveling and a lot of work abroad out in the wilderness. Over the years I have tried many a safari shirt / outdoor travel shirt, and this one is better than average.Pro's:- The fabric is soft and feels good on the skin.- The cut of the shirt fits very nicely- The pockets and buttons are well stitched and secure.- This Item ships quite fast.Con's- I noticed the threading on the sleeve was cut long, and left a large piece dangling from the stitching. However, I cut it down and the stitching has held up fine since. All in all, this is a comfortable shirt, and it seems well made. Couple that with the fast shipping, and it is one of the better shirts in this style for this price range.

Really a nice looking shirt - see notes on my size
I wanted a cotton shirt to wear on a planned trip. Ordered this one.1.) It is nice looking, makes me look like a real safari guide. HOWEVER, have not yet washed it. It will need to be pressed or ironed.2.) The zipper pockets are basically just stitched to the shirt at the top of the pockets and hang down. How will this survive a washing machine ?3.) I bought the large. I am 6' about 227lbs. SSSSlllliiighly tight in the chest. I'm about a 44 and usually wear between an XL and Large depending.... I like a 35 sleeve in my shirts, these are about 35 1/2 or 36. Not an issue for me.4.) Personal preference of course but I like the look of the shirt. It does look sharp and i suspect you will need to keep it ironed and starched for the best presentation.

Similar to Cabela's safari series... Kinda
I typically wear a Cabela's Safari Series button up shirt as a cover garment to cover my sidearm. They have very similar design to the Firefox. They are not in the same class of quality but they also 1/3 the cost. The stitching inside the shirt are obviously a lower quality to the Cabela's. These probably won't hold up to as much but I think with proper washing and care these should be just fine. Where these more affordable Foxfire shirts shine is the thinner fabric. The Cabela's shirts are very thick and heavy and get hot. These shirts will be nice on hotter days and if they hold up to washings I'll probably get more.On top of the lighter stitching I've found these shirts are on the small side. I order 3xl and find the sleeves are a bit shorter than what I'm used to but still very wearable. Due to the workmanship and sizing I'm giving these 4 stars
