Excellent Heatsink for High-Performance SSDs!
If you're running a high-speed NVMe SSD and want to keep temperatures in check, the SABRENT Rocket Heatsink is a must-have. It’s well-built, easy to install, and does a great job at dissipating heat during heavy workloads. The aluminum construction feels premium and sturdy, and the design is sleek enough to fit into most builds without interfering with other components. It comes with thermal pads and a mounting bracket, making installation straightforward—even for first-time builders. After installing it on my M.2 2280 SSD, I noticed a significant drop in operating temperatures, especially during gaming and file transfers. This not only improves performance but also helps extend the lifespan of the drive. Highly recommended for anyone looking to protect their SSD and maintain optimal performance!

High-Performance PS5 SSD Heatsink — Designed for Perfect Fit and Cooling
I upgraded my PS5 storage using this Sabrent heatsink, and I’m thoroughly impressed. The aluminum build is solid, and installation—while fiddly at first—was manageable and precise once the SSD clamp was removed. The heatsink replaces the original cover and maintains the PS5’s designed airflow paths, ensuring active cooling rather than trapping heat under a passive plate. Thermal tests reported by reviewers confirm that this heatsink significantly lowers drive temperatures compared to generic models. Its fit accommodates both 2280 and extended 22110 SSD sizes, with uniform pressure that keeps performance stable. On the rare occasion a user experiences SSD bowing, a supplemental thermal pad beneath the board helps maintain balance. For roughly $20, you get one of the most effective and thoughtfully engineered SSD cooling solutions available for the PS5. If you’re planning a high-speed PCIe 4.0 upgrade on Sony’s console, this is the heatsink you should consider first.

Great little heat sink with heat pipes
Pros: ++ Packaging was excellent. (Everything is seated in foam securely.) ++ Craftsmanship of heat sink is of quality. (Nothing looked or felt cheap.) ++ Temps went down from 75c to around 55c. ++ Easy to assemble and install ++ No real fitment issues Cons: -- Supplied screw is a bit too long. (SSD w/ heat sink was loose after installation.) -- May interfere with your motherboard depending on type of motherboard and your drive. - Overall: Everything was packaged well and the build quality is really good. The kit includes: 1x bottom plate w/ thermal pad 1x top plate Heatsink w/ thermal pad 4x Heatsink screws 1x M.2 mounting screw 1x Extra thermal pad for single sided drives 1x Screw Driver 1x Instruction Booklet As for the temps, they came down 20 degrees C. Passmark Performance Test showed a score of 10,900 before and over 14,000 after installation, just by running cooler! The SSD/Heatsink combo was easy to install and the kit even includes an extra thermal pad for single sided M.2 SSD's like I have. (What this means is, when the heatsink is assembled around the drive, there still may be a gap. The extra thermal pad makes up that gap, so full contact can be made. If you have a dual sided drive, you wont need the extra pad.) PLEASE READ - Things you should know AND purchase along with this heat sink: 1.) As stated above, the M.2 mounting screw supplied is too long. After installation, the drive was pretty loose. (I remedied this by installing a small silicone washer I made from a spare part I had lying around to take up the slack.) Just type "M.2 mounting kit" in the Amazon search bar and it will show you various kits with plastic washers. You will only need one or two washers, so just order the cheapest kit and problem solved. (~$5.00) 2.) BE AWARE that the heat sink can interfere with the surface mount components on your MoBo. I did a few test fits and noticed the bottom of the heat sink was showing very faint ware marks from a resistor it was just barely touching. (I temporarily remedied this by putting some Scotch Tape on the Mobo over the resistor to prevent a potential short, but I don't recommend it for long term.) Just type "Kapton Tape" in the Amazon search bar. Kapton Tape is heat resistant, electrically insulated and is used all over the tech industry. It will stand up to the heat over time. (~$5.00 also.) Other than that, I hope those two pieces of important info helps you out. I really like this Sabrent Heatsink and I'm happy with it. Just purchase the Kapton Tape and an M.2 mounting kit with washers and you will be set.

Excellent NVMe heatsink -- easy to install once you know what to do
I have two of these heatsinks for the two NVMe SSD drives I have in my desktop computer. The heatsinks perform very well and I've never had to worry about high SSD temperatures while I've had them. Putting the m.2/NVMe drive in the heatsink is a pretty easy process, though you will want to make sure the adhesive on the thermal gel is pressed together tightly so that the drive doesn't slide around as you're mounting the drive and heatsink on the motherboard. As a bonus, the heatsink itself has an interesting aesthetic that you might spend time staring at if you have a transparent glass panel computer case like I do. A minor quibble I have is that the heatsink doesn't come with an m.2 screw, so you will have to get one separately (and make sure the m.2 screw fits your motherboard as well!). You will also want to look up how to mount an m.2 drive and screw if this is your first time installing an m.2 style SSD -- it will save you some frustration. The instructions that come with the heatsink don't explain exactly what to do to mount the m.2 screw, so it can be slightly confusing. The key is to screw the m.2 screw and washer into the end of the m.2 drive/heatsink first before mounting it on the motherboard. Overall, I would recommend this heatsink. It does a good job of keeping your m.2 drive cool -- just make sure you know how to install it!

Great quality and affordable investment
One of the better heat sinks. I am really unfamiliar with internal components of PCs or any other technology like my PS5. But! This design seems to be the best heatsink simply because of the material it is made out of. It completely replaces the SSD cover it comes with, and then it covered all of the empty space inside of the compartment. The heat sink foam is good and simply used an adhesive to stay in place. I am convinced that the way this is designed, my SSD will be protected as the entire heatsink compartment is filled with no space for heat to hangout in there. It seems to fit well with all compatible SSDs. It was made specifically for the PS5. I have the PS5 digital with disk. Overall. Very easy to install and very much does the job at a great quality.

Works as intended. A little expensive tho.
So I've been using this heatsink for about a week or so now and it seems to be doing it's job ok so far. I have a mini ITX build --> ASRock B550i, 5700x w/ rear mounted H80i, a 3070 and a 980 Pro boot drive. So, because of how the board is laid out, the NVMe drive is right on top the B550 chipset, in front the VRM heatsink, behind the RAM, over the GPU and under the CPU where the AIO is mounted. I have my radiator in a rear mounted, so the rad is 75% over the NVMe slot and the fan is perpendicularly over it. So more or less, no airflow. With the motherboard's stock NVME heatsink, I saw peak temps of 72C on the NAND and about 86C on the controller and I was very concerned about this. I decided to get an aftermarket heatsink and the layout of the copper pipes caught my eye. So far, I've seen temps of 65C on the NAND after a few hours of playing (I've seen it peak at 66C once then go back to 64C shortly thereafter) and about 75-76C on the controller (I've seen peaks of 78C already). It's not a great improvement, but it keeps the NAND below 70C, which I've read is the max operating temp per specification. I run only 2 frequently played games on my NVMe drive and after turning off the game, in approximately 10 mins the NAND temp drop to mid 50s and mid 60s on the controller). Idle temp seems to be about 45-50C. With motherboard heatsink, idle temps were low 60s if I remember correctly. What I believe happens is that because the heatsink is so tall, it raises the heated portion to over the RAM so that it can get a bit of airflow over the heatsink to cool off; I cannot prove this however. Nevertheless, I recommend this heatsink if you're concerned about your NVMe drive heating up too much. I'd say $25 is a lot for a heatsink for a boot drive; I'd say for $15, it's a no brainer, $20, go for it. Update: In hindsight, while I was installing, I almost stripped one of the screws. Took off a star for that as the screws seem really weak. (made some updates to the temps I noticed.) Update (03-26-2023): I've seen temps peak to 67-68C on the NAND and stay around 67C. Cools down quickly once the game is off. Idle temps remain the same. Temps stay under 70C, which is within spec, but not happy temps have crept up 2-3C. Idk why that happened.

Best heatsink available
Great heatsink. Brought my operating temperature from 68° and being throttled to 46° and working at full speed. Even under heavy load the temp never goes above 51°. Highly recommended.

Nie taki dobry
Stosunek ceny do wydajności jest nie adekwatny ! Prosty aluminiowy radiator daje takie same efekty jak Sabrent.

Sabrent Heatsink - Excellent product
If your a PS5 owner and looking for a heatsink for your new ssd expansion then look no further. This Sabrent heatsink is a great choice! It fits the Playstation 5 expansion slot like a glove. It's super easy to install and comes with clear instructions. Once it's physically installed your good to go, no firmware updates or formatting needed. It works with any brand ssd that you choose to go with, so not just the Sabrent brand. So far the heatsink is doing its job perfectly. Before I got the Sabrent heatsink I was using a much cheaper type and whilst transferring a bunch of games im pretty sure it caused the ssd to overheat, initially it said 40mins left till complete the transfer, I checked back half hour later and it had changed to a crawling 99+ hours. Since getting this new heatsink installed iv tested the ssd with similar circumstances and it handled it all like a boss. Honestly, I was surprised how much of a difference it made. I am 100% recommending this product for anyone with a PS5 and planning a storage upgrade, it's worth the little bit of extra cash to keep your ssd and PS5 running smoothly.
