Worked for legion y740 15irh
I corrupted my legion y740 15irh 2019 laptop , by doing an under volt. This saved my laptop , but after I flashed it did not work for 30 min I had to wait and eventually powered on and every thing worked I had to reset windows . The bios version is 1.06 but the ec version is 1.11 I guess . I am happy as it worked , else they are charging 200$ per hour to fix these issue outside No need to convert the volts to 3.3 . BUT to be safe convert it else there is a chance it will be damaged Update: TPM module got corrupted might be a bios thing.

Works on AT25020 EEPROMS on 99-02 GMT800
Used this with AsProgrammer to re-program an Atmel 25020 in order to set the original miealege on my trucks odometer with a new instrument cluster. The clip was a bit difficult to get it to read the EEPROM but after a couple attempts I was able to get it to work with a stable connection. Super easy to setup as it was quite literally plug and play so for my purpose it worked well.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT
I seldom leave feedback - in fact this is only my third time in fifteen years as an Amazon user. I only do so when I think the product warrants it, as in this case. The ACEIRMC SOIC8 Eprom programmer worked perfectly for me. I see from the reviews that some buyers could not get it to work and left negative feedback as a result. Speaking from my own experience, it may have been that those reviewers had the wrong BIOS binary from the manufacturer. At first I had the same problem. I could not get the file downloaded from SuperMicro to work, no matter what I tried. Luckily for me, what I DID have available was a new, pre-programmed chip I had purchased as a fail-safe. However, desoldering the old from the board and replacing it with the new was not something I looked forward to doing, though would tried as a last resort. Fortunately, I did not have to. Since the programmer is also a reader, I simply copied the file from the new chip and used it to program the original. The whole process took only a couple of minutes, and I was back in business not only with the board working again, but with the bios updated, which is what I wanted in the first place. It was a failed update that caused me to brick the mobo in the first place. Another thing I see people complaining about is difficulty getting the clip to seat on the chip properly, but I had no problem whatsoever - and it is a very small chip! So before you give up on it, make sure you have a good binary file to work with. Even though I ended up buying a chip I didn't have to install (thank goodness) the small cost of $25 from eBay was well worth it for the time saved and final results.

Works with some effort
The programmer I received had a problem with the zif socket securing lever not staying down. However, the clip worked fine and I was able to reprogram a bios after a failed update by holding the arm down while I did the reading and programming using flashrom. It's a little annoying, but it saved me hundreds of dollars and much more effort that would be needed to replace a mainboard, so one star removed since it wasn't perfect, but it still got the job done.

Does the job, A little pricy. No mods needed for 3.3v
Worked for resetting a 3.3v mobo bios chip with no modifications to the programmer. Lever is somewhat flimsy but for how cheap these are, I don't expect them to last very long. You can find the same on aliexpress for cheaper if you're willing to wait longer for shipping.

Poor Quality Test Clip
The SOP8/SOIC8 test clip was awful. It worked a couple of times, then the clip kept popping off of the IC. I ended up buying a Pomona test clip. It hasn't failed yet after 60 or more uses. The actual CH341A programmer and associated components work great. My only complaint is the poor quality test clip.

Soic8 zif socket should be wide body 200mm
Like: many components included Dislike: soic8 zero insertion force socket to DIP8 should be wide body 200mm for flash chip. 150mm sent, impossible to insert flash chip without bending pins.

Reverse engineer EEPROMs is easy.
With this device you can now extract EEPROM data for backups, you can also upload custom BIOS firmware directly to the EEPROM without having to remove it from the motherboard. IT JUST MAKES LIFE A LITTLE BIT EASIER... But of course with all that being said you do need to have some background knowledge in computers and electronics, its for me but difficult for the average grandma.

Good, but definitely not the best.
I bought this programmer and although the usb part worked the chip clips did not. They stayed on my chip for a whole 20 mins and then once they came off they wouldn't grab ever again. I ended up having buy another pair of clips in order to finish.
